Kong Dog — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

Tried the newly opened Kong Dog location in Schaumburg , IL. They had a soft opening on 9/27 and the place was full of people and the lines were out the door.

I have heard so much about Kong Dog and they are totally worth the hype. Their menu have 10 types of corndog with different kind of toppings from hot Cheetos to spaghetti, to potatoes and so on. You then have to choose a filling. The options are either 1)beef dog, 2) all mozzarella 3) half and half, 4) chicken dog, and 5) plant based . I love that they have a plant based option as well.

We tried the hot Cheetos with mozzarella and the potatoes kong dog with half mozzarella and half beef. Love the spice and the crunchiness of the hot Cheetos, the mayo in it added to the flavor. The potato king dog was equally delicious and so crunchy.

We also tried their Kong fries and they are the best, you cannot stop eating them. The fries are loaded with hot Cheetos crumbs, spicy mayo, Parmesan cheese , and ketchup. I don’t want my fries any other way now. These are so good.

The blueberry lemonade was really tasty and refreshing as well. I cannot wait to go back and try the other kinds of Kong dog on the menu.

A great place for a snack! I ordered 4 kong dogs (sweet chili Doritos, potato, sweet potato, and hot Cheeto), the kong fries, and an ube latte to-go. All the kong dogs were bigger than I expected, very filling, and a savory treat that comes with many dipping sauces to choose from. The kong fries were good, however, I think they’d taste even better if the fries were cooked more to prevent them from getting soft with all toppings on it. The ube latte was refreshing with a tasty purple yam flavor that was not overly sweet.

After leaving with my to-go order, I noticed they forgot one kong dog so only living 5 min away, I drove back. As soon as I came in, the girl who took my order saw me and knew they forgot one of my orders. It wasn’t a big deal to me since I know the business is new, but the girl was very sorry and offered me not only an extra free kong dog, but also another drink to make up for it. I told them they didn’t have to, but she was very sweet and insisted. I’m glad I came back and will definitely recommend everyone to try...

I called and ordered ahead. They told me it would be ready in 8mins. When I got there about 10 mins later I paid and then they had me wait for my order. I waited about 20 mins until I got inpatient watching people come and go so I went up to check to see if my order was ready and they were like oh yea right here. It would have been nice if they called the new orders coming out since there were several people waiting. They then gave me my order without my drinks so I had to go back in and get them. Luckily I noticed before I completely left. They need to get more organized because it is not a big space to he unorganized.
