Update 1/2023 Still as delicious as always. I came in for the lunch special with a friend. We had the panang curry and the green curry and also ordered the Tom yum soup with shrimp. Excellent and full of flavor. The egg rolls were so good I was tempted to order another one. The banana sticky rice desert was authentic in a banana leaf and was a great ending to a nice lunch. ————— Update 11/2022
Taste of Thai is a hidden gem that you must try if you like Thai food. I had their lunch take out a few months ago that was very good. I’ve been meaning to try them for dinner with my husband. The dinner was amazing! Everything was clean, quality, taste and portions of the food were excellent! The Tom yum soup came out piping hot and had a great amount of chicken and vegetables. The chicken egg rolls were a nice size and had a nice flavor to them. We also ordered shrimp Pad Thai that had premium large shrimp that tasted authentic and fresh. We ordered the chicken pa-nang curry that was so good, rich and creamy that we couldn’t stop eating it! The food is consistent and they give very generous portions on everything we ordered. Lastly the fried ice cream is like eating a little cake with ice cream. The whole dining experience was very very enjoyable. Our waitress Yoni (apologies if I misspelled) and the entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. This is our new go to for authentic Thai cuisine! ————
I came here impromptu as it was close to an errand I was running. Pleasantly surprised by this quaint little family run restaurant. I ordered the Pad Thai lunch special w/chicken to go. The lunch special comes with choice of egg roll, crab rangoon, rice or other item. Restaurant was very clean, neat and orderly. Menu is simple and has a lot of variety to choose from. Food was made super fast and wrapped nicely. They give a very nice portion size and the flavors are authentic and delicious! I ordered with chicken and they didn’t disappoint as there was many large pieces in with the noodles. I loved the cabbage and carrot crunch with the noodles. I chose the egg roll which was super crispy, flavorful and decently sized. I did see others plates being served in the dining room as I waited for my take out. All the food looked amazing. They also had Thai authentic coffee, tea and drinks to choose from! I really liked that this is a small intimate place. I’ll return with friends and try their other items. The staff is very pleasant and eager to please to make sure you...
Read moreI Specifically requested to this restaurant's waitress who pretended she fully understood my request to prepare my rice NOT STICKY OR GUMMY! I told her 4 times! I am so tired of waitresses pretending to understand customers' requests when they have no idea what you're saying.
The rice I ordered here was very sticky gummy and the Basil Fried Rice with extra tasteless shrimp was hard and no seasoning. I taste no Basil in this mashed potato fried rice. I did not order sticky rice! Why call it Fried Rice if the darn rice is not fried! I spent $20 just for an order of rice to throw in the trash immediately after tasting it! I would not recommend this restaurant regardless of how many good reviews you read.
I will continue to repost this review repeatedly. I want to be FULLY refunded!
This place replied to refund my money. I called them for my refund and was told by the manager that I waited too long to complain. They're greedy and have horrible food!! That's a damn shame!!
I Googled how to prepare unsticky gummy rice:
To prevent the rice from becoming gummy and sticky, the key is to thoroughly rinse the rice before cooking to remove excess starch, use the correct water-to-rice ratio, and avoid overcooking; if your rice is already too sticky, you can try spreading it out on a baking sheet and reheating it in the oven to dry it out a bit. Key steps to prevent gummy rice: Rinse thoroughly: Before cooking, rinse the rice in cold water several times until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch that contributes to stickiness.
Use the right water ratio: Follow the recommended water-to-rice ratio for your specific type of rice. Generally, less water is needed to prevent mushiness.
Don't overcook: Cook the rice until just tender, avoiding prolonged cooking which can lead to a gummy texture.
How to fix already gummy rice: Spread and reheat: Spread cooked rice in a single layer on a baking sheet and reheat in a low oven to dry it out slightly. Fluff with a fork: After cooking, fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains

Read moreThe worst food I have had in my entire life! On Saturday we ordered food for $70 and everything was tasteless and horrible. We ordered the Papaya Salad, when we ask them to leave off the garlic which is listed as an ingredient in the salad-they said it doesn't come with it. How come it states it in the menu. It also states that there is lime juice, there was none. The salad was the size of side salad, yet it cost $9. However, this was not the most problematic aspect, instead of fresh lime juice it was drenched in sugary water- it tasted like a desert - not a salad. It also tasted absolutely disgusting. It was not eatable. We also ordered Five Star Chicken , which is a chef's special -OMG! It was absolutely tasteless. The white rice came on the side and it seemed as if it was cooked a week ago. The chicken with veggies came in a separate container and it tastes just boiled -there were no spices. Again we threw it away. The Mango Fried Rice was simply cut up mango added to a old cooked fried rice- no taste -garbage Tom Yam Soup and Tom Yam Noodle were tasteless and old. We could tell it was cooked a while ago and simply reheated , but it had bad taste. The shrimp inside tasted stale. These went to the garbage also. Finally the Red Curry, same dry old rice in a separate container, same tasteless chicken with a mediocre curry sauce... We kind of eat a bit of it , but most of it went into the garbage. The conclusion, it was $70 that we threw away and it left with a bad taste and huge disappointment considering the high reviews this place has. I have no idea how people rated it so high... They must have not had good food in their life. I wish I could get my money back considering we had to cook some food to feed ourselves after throwing away the thai food. The worst part we went to visit my parents and the food was suppose to delight them instead we looked cheap since they probably thought we got this horrible food from the cheapest restaurant. I would NEVER EVER order food from this...
