Gyros Express — Restaurant in Schererville

Let me start by saying I have never written a review on a business before but this one was needed. They are Incompetent, lazy, rude, and have no pride in running a business. It’s difficult to screw up an order when you specifically say PLAIN, but they managed to so and have an attitude while doing it. My wife ordered a Plain hot dog and a Plain burger. They gave us a plain hot dog and a burger with everything. My wife takes the burger back inside and tells them she asked for a plain burger. The worker tries to call her a liar and that she asked for everything (a little weird considering the hot dog was made plain correctly)

A normal business would say it’s no problem, let me fix the order. Not this guy…. He goes in the back, scrapes the condiments off the patty and changes the bottom bun LOL. Then hands back the the burger with mustard still on the paper wrap and burger. Comically lazy and completely disrespectful! Shows absolutely no care in the world for their customer. They gave off the vibe like my wife was trying to get a free meal for ruining the order which was not the case. She has too much pride, so she purchased an entire new burger to prove a point

Looking back at it, She should have left the already paid for food on the floor instead of giving them another dollar. I hope the guy working today reads this review…. YOU SIR, ARE A PUNK...

Ordered a double cheeseburger PLAIN, the cashier guy and i went over the order 3 times. - picked up my food and luckily i checked it before leaving. It was loaded with toppings. I took it back inside and instead of giving me a fresh cheese burger they slopped off the toppings and the cashier WITHOUT GLOVES hands over another bun and they quickly put the patties from the first incorrect burger onto the second and gave me the burger and expected me to leave. I told him no this is not right you need to give me a fresh burger. What if there’s an allergy and you already put the toppings on the burger. A good business practice would have been to completely replace the burger. This was very disgusting business as a first time customer I hope other people are aware of how they do business before they spend...

If you’re looking for good food all together like Gyros, chicken, even down to the hotdogs and don’t get me started on the fries then this is the place. I worked in the same plaza for almost 2 years and this was my go to. We call the owner Mr. Gyro but I never got his actual name. These are really kind hearted people and always have great conversations when I walk in. He always welcomes everyone with a greeting and a smile. My favorite is the shrimp plate with a cup of cheese and a large drink. If you’re reading this Mr. Gyro I’m coming back soon for some food. When I do I will update this post with pictures. See you...
