Schoop's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Schererville

Food is good, however i called in a Togo order and when I arrived I asked to sit at the bar and eat my food quickly, I stated I did not need it on a plate, the Togo bag was fine. I was refused and was told I was not allowed to sit at the bar even though I had just spent my money here & am a regular at this establishment . I am a healthcare worker who has limited time between breaks and wanted a comfy place to sit while I eat if I needed to leave in a hurry back to work. I was not expecting service, just a place to sit. I would have made sure the area was clean and would have left a tip for their troubles when I left. There was no line and plenty of seats left for those who walked in. Not the best...

I called for a carry out 5 mins before they closed, I was not aware that the hours changed due to the virus. Totally my fault. The woman who answered was extremely sweet and assured me that it was absolutely okay to order. When I got there the young man running The register was so gracious and did not make it seem like it was an inconvenience I was there. The server there was also very professional and kind. The cook in the back was incredibly amazing! this is the best the food has ever tasted! He did such an amazing job! This is why we always go to schoops and will continue to go back there. Every single one of these have been exceptional. From Portage to Griffith each and every one has went above and beyond. I will have to say this one is the absolute nicest one we have visited. The wonderful thing is the good, service, prices, and cleanliness are always the same no matter which one it is. But this one is “prettier” inside.
