Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Schertz

I have come to this location since I moved to Cibolo 17 years ago. There service was great and welcoming for several years. They closed at one time to remodel and we all around here needed our DQ fix!! Since the remodel the service has left us very disappointed. Their food is always good that has not changed. I go there with a grand kids at least once a month now. We have almost stopped going because of the drive thru line and wait. It's long and usually out of the driveway in the evenings which isn't safe when your sitting on FM 78 with traffic zooming past you. I'm surprised no one hasn't been in seriously injured. Perhaps they have and I don't know it. My grand daughter and I visited there on Thursday 7/28. We placed our order, 1 chicken basket, a number 1 burger combo and 2 med. blizzards. It cost $29.97 for 2 meals (crazy). We drove around where we were asked to and waited over a 1/2 hour for our food. The meals were correct but the blizzards were small, not med. and were both the incorrect flavors. So in a nut shell, paid too much, waited too long and did not get what we ordered. They have been working up to this stage for quite some time. Seems it will not get better. This kind of service has finally caught up with them and I've made my last visit to this location. We recently visited the Dairy Queen in Schertz on a Saturday night and were quite surprised by how busy it was. The restaurant itself is updated and well-kept, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. However, we had no idea how popular Dairy Queen could get on a weekend night. There was a line of cars extending out to the street, and all four drive-through lanes were full. Inside, the staff seemed overwhelmed and were running behind on orders. We went for an evening treat and ordered three ice creams: a banana split Blizzard, an Oreo Blizzard, and a regular banana split. After waiting for about 30 minutes, they started bringing out our ice creams. Unfortunately, they made our daughter’s ice cream wrong. Although we didn’t want to say anything initially, we decided to let them know since it was her favorite. They remade it for us without any issues. In the end, despite the wait and the mix-up, we were all happy with our sweet treats. The ice creams were delicious, and we appreciated the staff’s effort to correct the mistake. I went in and ordered two of the chicken tender meals. A four piece and a six-piece. I ordered three extra gravies. I asked for the six piece to be large, and the four piece to be a medium. I wait 20 minutes for my order and while waiting I hear the employees messing around and playing around in the back. One of the employees yelled out that the guy needs to just come out and say that he's gay already and was being very loud about it. I finally get my food and I checked to see if I got my extra gravy and to make sure I had the correct amount of chicken strips, the extra gravy was missing and I only had five chicken strips in one and four in the other. So I asked them for my other chicken strip that was missing and for my other missing gravy. The guy at the front give me the chicken strip but tells me I was not charged for the other gravy. So after waiting 20 minutes he rings up another gravy and makes me pay $0.86. When I get home and notice I don't have a large fry like I was supposed to and the gravy is liquid it's not even thick at all like gravy is supposed to be thick. I am fed up with this place and will not be returning to...
