Always a joy when going to dine in here. I love how personable the owners are and wonderful conversation. The food is always on point. I love trying the new treats that she makes. Today I tried the coffee flight with house made mixes. I do NOT like hot coffee I'm always doing iced. He said that 2 are better hot so I allowed him to work his magic. It's PSL season and I have ALWAYS wanted to love it like the rest but never could drink a real PSL. We all know the chains popular with them and they just taste so sweet and fake pumpkin taste and I love all things pumpkin. So yes I was nervous to try this one hot but holy freaking moly it was heaven!!!!! I am not exaggerating it was my first time actually enjoying hot coffee and PSL at that. He has perfected their house recipe and the coffee isn't too sweet you can taste the pumpkin and it's smooth and full of flavor. I love getting to experience all the new things they try and love seeing the community supporting local. I love they feel safe to keep trying to be more original and not just doing what everyone else does. You can feel the love they put into this place and they love their customers and always make a point to have conversations. They will accept your feedback and strive to make it better if they can. You don't have that feel a lot anymore. So try the new things because you might love it. If not atleast you tried something new today.
Also had to show our skelly Pumpkin Spice Queen loving the PSL too. If you haven't please drive a little further and support this...
Read moreMy teenage son, who normally hates breakfast AND breakfast places came downstairs today and said ‘Do you want to go get breakfast somewhere…’ First I was all…who are you? Then I was like, he wants to hang out with me? SURE. He really just wanted an iced coffee…but I’ll take it! So we consulted the Googles, as any normal human being would do, and we landed on Northern D’Lites. They are close, the pictures looked good and they had eggs and bacon for me…SOLD! They had iced coffee with EVERY flavor syrup imaginable…their new flavor was oatmeal cookie…my son loved it… Parker is the man behind the counter. He was deeeeeelightful. Yes, that was cheesy…and so were my delicious eggs. The bacon was very thick and yummmo. We didn’t get to the pancakes or the cinnamon roll because the eggs and bacon filled us both up! We brought those home to enjoy later. =) A regular came in after us and we got to talking and we all sat together for breakfast. It was a great little community place with three tables and some outside seating, but perfect for meeting new friends. Hi Janet!! I’m glad I yielded to my son’s breakfast request this morning because it turned into some wonderful interactions with some wonderful people. Hope y’all have a great day and try...
Read moreMy first dining experience at Northern D' Lights of Texas was a mixed one. The customer service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout my visit, which made me feel welcome. The prices were fairly reasonable, and I appreciated the military discount offered, which is always a nice touch for those who serve.
However, when it came to the food, I was left somewhat disappointed. I ordered the French toast and eggs, and while the presentation was decent, the taste was quite bland. The French toast lacked the rich, flavorful punch that I was expecting, and the eggs were similarly unremarkable. Both dishes left a lot to be desired in terms of seasoning and overall taste, making the meal less enjoyable than I had hoped.
Overall, Northern D' Lights of Texas has potential, especially with its great customer service and reasonable prices. However, the food could use some improvement to match the quality of the dining experience. I hope they consider making some adjustments to their recipes to enhance the flavor, as I’d love to see this...
