Stopped here for coffee and a pack of boiled eggs. The total was $3.98. I paid at the register all from the phone, using their app for a reward, my reward card, and Apple Pay. I later needed to check something in my transaction history and found that another order AFTER I LEFT had been added to my bill, with 4 more items now totaling $20.48!!! They were clearly not mine as I don’t eat meat, and I am absolutely outraged that this was able to happen. What happened next was even worse.
I called Wawa corporate headquarters to complain and ask for a manager. The person on the phone was not apologetic at all, would not let me speak with a manager, and told me the only thing I could do would be to call my credit card company to dispute the charge, as that was their policy. I tried to do just that, but as it was a pending charge and had not hit yet, the card company said they couldn’t do anything until the charge went from pending to posted. I called the actual store and was told the only thing I could do was to come back to their location for a refund. So I had to drive 15 minutes out of the way each direction to go back there to have the charge removed. Luckily, I had a screenshot of my transaction from their app. Without that, I would’ve had no proof as to what happened. I used to skip the receipts when I went to Wawa. Never again.
@Wawa, the way you handled this was inexcusable, and the fact that you were able to put someone else’s charges on another’s card is FRAUD and CRIMINAL! There happened to be a police officer in the place when I went back in there, and I tried to report the fraud charge, but he said he was from another area and didn’t have jurisdiction there.

Read moreOmg, this Wawa has improved recently! I go there sometimes multiple times a day, and sometimes chat with the employees and they said had been basically miserable under management there, for years and recently that has changed (I have no idea what management or if that’s even tru), and that moral has dramatically improved! Your employees moral is directly proportional to production so, that was a good business move. Love to see content employees! Also, I eat from here all the time, I see all the 1 star reviews about people crying about their privilege “my drink took too long” or “my sandwich was made wrong so never go here again”, and those people I find have very sad lives because, this is the world and not a Utopia where everything comes out 10/10 all time and the fact that you were that upset about a drink and wrote a scathing review, preferably to get people in trouble, may mean need a little psychological help for...
Read moreafter Mary left the store it went to hell in there for a quick fix ends up taking a 15 minutes if you can go to another Wawa I recommend it, never in my life have i been so fed up with a wawa, now dont get me wrong, i love my wawa. But this is not MY wawa. Continued to be disappointed shocked and it doesn't seem to be getting any better, if the red roof knew how this store was being run it would fire every one of its incompatint employees, from the stupidity at the core to the blaintant disregard for customer service. Dont be in a hurry because getting you through checkout will take you a lifetime, regardless the time of day. Maybe 2am maybe not, hopefully this wawa has a management replacement plan that can fix this once booming wawa, untill then just avoid it if possable, continue west on 734 a few more miles to bridge st, there you will find another wawa willing...
