My family of 4 and I came in today for a quick bite off of 94. At first we were caught by the fabulous case of goodies.. We weren't greeted at all so we just sat down because we didn't know how things were being done. We had to ask an employee after the fact. While standing in line my s/o and I noticed who we thought may have been a manager being rude and snappy with the lady infront of us, we both looked at one an other like WOW! I asked him if wanted to leave but he let it go and placed an order just to give it a try. The food was delicious and fresh. With 3 kids under 11 its not an easy accomplishment, but everything was great. While in the middle of eating this same "manager" came to out table to grab some signs but she didnt announce her presence nor that she was going to reach right between my husband and son while eating. While grabbing the signs she also grabbed his face mask and touched it. It was extremely rude and unprofessional to do. After eating we bought a few pies and cookies so we ended up spending nearly 100$ . It was bothering me that i didn't say anthing so i asked another girl if that lady was the manager and ahe replied No Ma'am, Im a manager and she is the owner. They only time that my husband and I felt welcomed or comfortable was in the presence if the real manager she was very nice and inviting. I'm very thankful for her, she was awesome and im mad that i didn't catch her name. But as for the owner.... I'm pretty taken back by your lack of customer service and people skillss. I wish your business lots of luck and longevity but maybe you should hire more women like your manager. I informed you that we will not be back and i know that it wont make or break you but you should recognize your wrong doings and go from there. Its a rough time for people and for us to come across what we did today...
Read moreI wouldnt say it was a totally unpleasant experience but it certainly wasnt the best.
We had gotten the quiche combo and mine was great, the salad was good (love their ranch!) but the pumpkin bread slice was pretty meager and underwhelming compared to past visits. My girlfriends salad however was less than exciting, as the lettuce was old and wilted. They had no issue giving us a new salad, however the guy making the salad kept wiping his hands on his apron everytime right before he'd get a new ingredient (cucumber, tomato, red onion, lettuce, cheese, etc) which was a big turn off for the both of us. We also had a misunderstanding about one of the quiches, which they again had no problem exchanging for a new slice however the new slice was missing in almost its entirety a key ingredient: Broccoli.
I'm sure this was just an off day for the crew who works here, and in general I was very happy with the experience and willingness to accommodate us.
I do hope that if management reads this that they'll address wiping hands on aprons, for thats just a health code thing and general gross out.
I recommend this place to everyone, and will still be going back. Love the food, just seemed like an off day. 3 stars for a few obvious things, though normally id put 4 or 5 stars based on...
Read moreI stopped by this place for lunch the other day, ordered a salad, drink, and a slice of pie. As the cashier goes to fetch my pie, another employee begins making my salad. The salad prep station is behind the counter just to the left of the register. The salad prep employee had a cough, which she was making no effort to cover while she was making my salad and standing over open containers of salad ingredients. It was at that point that I determined it was not in my best interest to eat here. When the cashier returned with my pie, I requested a refund, which she happily fetched the manager to process. The manager barely acknowledged me, and made no effort to determine what the issue was, but, to her credit, issued me the refund without difficulty. On my way out, another woman, presumably the general manager or owner did stop me to inquire what the issue was. When I informed her of the employee hacking up lung butter on and around the salad fixins, she was quick to apologize. Her professionalism as well as the cashier's earned them a second star.
I question whether they threw out the salad ingredients or sent the coughing employee home after I left. I would hope that they did. Either way, I can't quite see my way to giving this location...
