The young, caucasian lady with the long brown hair who was taking orders at the drive through and delivering food to people in the second lane around 12 PM on September 1st 2023 is one of the worst employees I've ever encountered at any restaurant I've visited.
The young lady took my order and was reasonably nice, but she delivered my food before she delivered food to the person in the car in front of me. The drive-thru was completely packed, so I had my food, but I couldn't leave because the person in front of me didn't have their food because the employee brought me my food first.
As the young lady walked by, I politely asked her if she could ask the woman in front of me to pull forward a bit so that I could leave and be on my way. I was in the middle of a long road trip and I had to get moving quickly. Without allowing me to finish my sentence, she snapped back at me "I'm about to bring her her food!" She continued walking and glared at me with the most hateful look. She then walked back inside, and a few minutes later, brought the food out to the woman in front of me who was blocking my only way out of the restaurant. The drive-thru at this Whataburger is designed in such a way where once you enter the drive-thru, it's impossible to leave because there are curbs built to keep the cars in place. I'm sure it's a process designed to keep people from changing their minds and leaving the drive-through without spending money if they decide the line is too long, but when the drive-thru is full of cars and an employee decides to make the mistake of delivering food to a car behind the lead car blocking everyone's path, it makes absolutely no sense.
I called the manager as I left the Whataburger and explained the situation to her. She was extremely kind and apologetic. She said that she would talk to the employee. I don't know if did talk to the young lady, but the manager sounded sincere. I hope that the employee is held accountable. I did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment. I've never been treated with such disrespect and disregard at a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of Whataburger in Scottsboro, AL, and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted by friendly and enthusiastic staff members who were genuinely excited to serve the community.
The ambiance of the place was inviting, with modern décor and comfortable seating arrangements. It was clear that a lot of thought had been put into creating a space that would cater to both individuals and families alike. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also impressive, reflecting the brand's commitment to maintaining high standards.
Now, let's talk about the food. Whataburger has always been known for its mouthwatering burgers, and this location in Scottsboro did not disappoint. The patties were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the buns were fresh and toasted to perfection. I was also pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, Whataburger has something for everyone.
Another aspect that stood out to me was the efficiency of the service. Despite the grand opening rush, the staff members handled the large crowd with ease, ensuring that all orders were taken accurately and promptly. This level of professionalism and attention to detail is commendable, especially for a newly opened restaurant.
To top it all off, the prices at Whataburger are incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. It's refreshing to find a place that offers such value for your money, without compromising on taste or portion sizes.
Overall, the grand opening of Whataburger in Scottsboro, AL, was a resounding success. From the warm and welcoming staff to the delicious and reasonably priced food, everything about this experience was positive. I am delighted to have Whataburger as a new addition to our community, and I have no doubt that it will quickly become a favorite spot for locals and...
Read moreUNACCEPTABLE . My boyfriend and I decided we wanted Whataburger for late dinner. There was no one at the front register so we chose the self service kiosk as our way of ordering. This was our first experience with ordering through the kiosk. The kiosk offered lots of options, with detailed information on the items provided for dinner. My boyfriend scanned his free Patty Melt and the screen updated the pricing to account for the discount. In order for the discount to be applied we did order a Large Fry and a Large Dr Pepper shake. Although the screen did update to the new discounted price of 8 dollars, as I was paying two with my card the system froze. It then charged the full amount of 16.91 with an approved symbol and the non discounted items shown on the kiosk. There was no receipt printed, I let the night shift manager Ms Brandy know I didn’t receive a receipt and that my card did get charged a pending 16.91 now approved as of Feb 26 2024. She was not helpful, told me infact that she doesn’t know how the system works or understands how the kiosk works and can’t do anything for me. She did reassure me to contact my bank, which is unacceptable because a manager should be helpful and willing to deal with any situation when it comes to a guest that has paid for food that they didn’t receive and didn’t show up on the screen on their end in BOH. Obviously, emailing about 16.91 is beneath me, but this interaction of intolerance due to unwilling management has struck me cold. I also had to repay for my food at the counter finally with an inexperienced employee for a correct transaction of 8.26 a few moments after the incorrect approved transaction of 16.91 was ordered at kiosk. Although the unexperienced employee was more than likely poorly trained, she was very helpful and polite. The transaction at the front counter, did yield a correct and hot meal, that was clean and neat. The management on the other hand, Ms. brandy did not meet expectations for a...
