ArteZania Kitchen & Cantina — Restaurant in Scottsdale

We have worked in the food and service industries for years and in multiple states and cities. We try to give as much grace as possible and don't tend to leave bad reviews. A three is the lowest I've ever given until now.

However the service here was EXTREMELY slow. For example, the waitress brought us the check and talked to a co-worker at the bar for over ten minutes without grabbing our card. Our nachos were cold and my wife's burrito was flavorless and cold as well. The waitress didn't even ask if we enjoyed our food and though my wife only took a few bites of her burrito, she didn't ask if there was anything she could do for us or if she could bring her something else. Additionally, when it came time to bring us a box, she was gone for over ten minutes. There were very few customers so that was not the issue.

Overall the experience was quite poor. We looked at photos online and were excited to try the place out.

So disappointing. We are holiday inn vacation club owners at the hotel and are so disappointed in the restaurant. Ate dinner here last night and the food tasted like it came from 7-11.

We wanted the Caesar salad, but they were out of romaine lettuce. Got the house salad and it tasted like old packaged lettuce. The two salad dressing selections were terrible so we asked for Ranch; they were out of that too. Got the chips, salsa and guacamole; $10! Guacamole was a small portion and had big chunks of onion and some other item I couldn’t identify. Chips tasted old. Had the Flatbread and it was awful. The crust wasn’t crisp at all and the ingredients were just so fake/packaged tasting. Had one glass of wine and one beer; those were good. Bill came to $50! Such a waste of money.

The food was decent, but there was miscommunication with an order and a soda that tasted like carbonated water. My mom was very frustrated, but the staff was able to try and correct the order and soda, but unfortunately, she found a plastic item in her food that might have come from a packaged food product. Some staff were very friendly, such as the women that ran the bar and served our food; the man seemed to be equally frustrated about the order and came off a tad annoyed. She was very disappointed in the service and food quality. The rest of the family didn't have any complaints about the taste or quality of food. The experience...
