Charming new Chinese restaurant. The wall murals are peaceful & lovely, and the delicate umbrellas hanging from the ceiling are a sheer delight. The staff were so friendly & helpful, and the food was delicious! There were three of us & we started with the pupu platter for three. One of the BEST pupu platters we've ever had & it is one of our "go to's." Excellent quality and very tasty, I especially enjoyed the chicken skewer & shrimp!! We then had the orange beef & Singapore noodles - equally delicious. The coating on the orange beef was light & perfectly fried, and the sauce was flavorful, with a little heat. The Singapore noodles had a nice curry flavor. Also light & very enjoyable. The portions were generous. (We have food for another meal with our leftovers!!) We would recommend all three dishes. The Mandarin Kitchen is a wonderful new little gem. We hope you will try it out! You won't be...
Read moreThis food is TERRIBLE!!! It is literally the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. I regret having gotten it to go. Had I ordered at the restaurant I would have sent everything back. All of the food has minimal flavor and is EXCESSIVELY greasy. I have eaten a lot of Chinese food in my life and how they can mess it up so bad that it has minimal flavor no matter what you do is beyond my comprehension. Then they go and put corn in the egg drop soup, which messes up the flavor so bad it's inedible. The chicken is so chewy it's like trying to eat rubber. The crab wontons taste like nothing but grease and cream cheese. I don't think there is even any crab in them.
The only way I can think that they got the rating they did was only getting friends and family to leave reviews. Don't waste your money getting food here!!! The food doesn't even look like it does in the pictures on the website. Total...
Read moreNot sure if I just got unlucky but I’m surprised with all the high ratings. I ordered the lunch special sweet & sour chicken which came with fried rice, cream cheese wonton and veggie roll. Overall price was great for the amount of food you got but s&s chicken was soggy / tasted like Dino nuggets, fried rice tasted like whole grain plain rice (I don’t mind a healthier option if that’s what it is but it threw me off guard), cream cheese wonton tasted exactly like a cheese-it to me, the veggie roll was the only thing I thought was really good. The service wasn’t great, I waited at the front for a while before someone finally came from the back and she looked at me saying nothing and I told her I was picking up a mobile order and she just said “yah” and handed me a bag and then I left. I can’t say I would go back...
