I recently had the pleasure of trying Ray's Pizza for the first time and I must say, it has quickly become one of my favorite places to get pizza in Scottsdale. The reason for this is simple: their Neapolitan cheese pizza is the best I have ever tasted. As soon as I walked into Ray's Pizza, the aroma of freshly baked bread and melting cheese hit my nose and I knew I was in for a treat. I was greeted by friendly staff and immediately drawn to the menu full of variety. It was tough to choose, but I ultimately went with the Neapolitan cheese pizza and I am so glad I did. The pizza crust was thin and crispy, with a slight char that added a depth of flavor. The cheese was gooey and delicious, with just the right balance of saltiness and tang. And the sauce was fresh and flavorful, with a slight sweetness that complemented the cheese perfectly. But the Neapolitan cheese pizza was just the beginning. Ray's Pizza has a wide variety of menu options, including calzones, sandwiches, and salads. And their cannolis are to die for - the creamy filling and crispy pastry make for the perfect sweet ending to any meal. We usually order take-out from Ray's Pizza and the staff have always made it easy for us. They are efficient and friendly, and they always ensure that our order is correct and ready when we arrive to pick it up. Overall, I am extremely impressed with Ray's Pizza and will definitely be returning for more delicious meals in the future. If you're a fan of cheese pizza or just looking for a great place to eat in Scottsdale, I highly recommend giving Ray's Pizza a try. It's sure to become one of your new favorites!

Ray's had been a must-have slice for me in NYC. I could barely walk by the place without getting a slice. They set the standard for me for "street pie". So, when they arrived in Arizona, I was thrilled. I've been to the Hayden Rd location a couple dozen times. I have never had a bad slice there. Pretty consistent. Their Sicilian is fairly traditional but has been a bit short on the sauce a few times. I've tried one of their traditional Italian subs in the past and that fell short of being a good NY version. This last visit I found the will to go off the pizza menu and try something else. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan sub, and I was not disappointed at all. A generous stack of very well breaded and fried eggplant slices on a sub roll coated with their great sauce and just enough cheese. This was legit. This Italian boy was pleased. Live their garlic knots, dripping with garlicky butter. In my many visits there I have experienced some of the less than cordial interactions from staff. Not as well received as it is in the NY Burroughs. My last several visits I have experienced warm and friendly service. Especially so on this last visit.

FINALLY!! A REAL pizza place in arizona... truly felt like pizza back home...(back east). I was blown away with the stromboli he made, it was as traditional as it gets, not some pizza folded into a hot pocket like every other pizza place. I had the Parmesan cheese slice & sliced sausage pizza and garlic knots, my wife had cheese slice, the crust is absolutely perfect and from what my wife tells me, it was the same 20years ago when she used to go here. David Portnoy, I got this one for ya...I rate the pizza a 10 and the stromboli a 10. My heart (and gut) was happy to finally find a place I'm willing to drive 45mins too and it'll be worth it every time! I'm not a pizza snob, but this place makes me never want to eat at another pizza shop...it'd be a sin if I did. Can't wait to be back ;)

I wish I could give this place no stars. 2 days ago I ordered 50$ worth of food for dinner for me and my guest through uber eats. I specified on the order that half the pizza should be pineapple and only the other 1/2 meat since my guest was a vegetarian. Once the pizza arrived, the entire pizza was full of meat. I called and spoke to one employee respectfully stating that this order is inedible since my guest can not touch the pizza. He reviewed the notes with me reading them back to me even, seeing that I had ordered a side of ranch dressing but in order to rectify the situation had to transfer me to another employee. The guy that picked up should never work in customer service. I explained the situation to him wanting to just come up with an easy solution to rectify what seemed to me like a mistake yet a simple situation yet he automatically started raising his voice at me, saying "it is what it is", that "we don't see the notes you put in so its your duty to call us next time to make sure we make your order correctly". I explained to him that the employee I just spoke to before him read the notes back to me so I doubt that the notes were not seen, and he continued arguing with me putting the blame on me. I told him that as a customer who just spent over 50$ and as just a human being he should learn how to speak. Mistakes happen but if you are just rude and nasty, they are certainly less forgiving. I am also aware that people can have a bad day but as an ER nurse who sees death 24/7 and still is able to speak to people in a respectful tone, he has absolutely zero excuses to yell the way he did. Now looking back at other reviews it seems like many customers spoke to the same "short tempered rude man" so I guess its more of a constant thing there. He was not willing to do anything to make sure my guest is able to have dinner. I called uber eats and got all my money back, as well as ended up going to a different location where they actually value their customers and got dinner there. I do not usually take the time to leave any reviews but this experience was so disturbing, I would never go or recommend anyone...

Don't go here if you have a service animal I walked in with two colleagues on Monday at lunchtime, one of them has a medical service dog. We ordered, paid, and the owner asked if my colleagues animal was a service animal. My colleague responded yes. The owner demanded to see the paperwork and before he had a chance to get the service animal card out of his wallet, the owner rudely told him he can eat outside. My food came up and I said, since he just threw out one of our party, I'd rather not eat here and asked for a refund. The owner looked at me and started yelling at me that he's been in business 50 years and he doesn't need anyone to tell him anything. I told him I'm also a local business owner for several decades, so i know what treating customers with respect is like. He told us all to get the hell out of there and don't come back. We have been in there many times over the past year with the same service animal, so I don't know where this came from, but completely unacceptable for an owner to yell at customers after impatiently demanding service animal paperwork. Even customers behind us were telling the owner he was out of line. Its unfortunate that bull-headed business owners still exist, but its safe to say we'll never go back again. The owner acted like an egotistical, entitled, jerk that treats customers like trash and doesn't care for the law of service animals. He did NOT have a right to do what he did, and for that, we would give less than a 1 star rating if it was available. Choose Streets of NY Pizza down the street where they appreciate...
