I came in around 8:20ish this morning. There was a couple who entered before me so ofc they ordered first, with no problems. While thy were being taken care of, I was checking a notification to make sure I was ordering the right items, bc I barely go to Starbucks. I approach the counter waiting for my order to be taken, which I thought wouldn’t have been a problem since there was 4 people (3 men and 1 woman) behind the counter. The lady was outing on her apron or some sort of attire so I didn’t expect her to take my order, however the older bald gentleman with the glasses was staring at me for most of my duration so I thought he would’ve been help. I looked at him expecting to say something, yet he just stared. I turned my back and then turn back around c I saw that the younger bald gentleman who take care of the prior two customers was gonna assist me yet not one uttered a single word to me asking if “ I was ready” or “ Did I still need more time”. The four employees were all just chatting and not being attentive.. A customer sitting by the window saw how I was not being serviced and said sorry to me as I was leaving, still not being attended too. This is highly annoying bc I had to go out of my way to Dunkin Donuts even though the coffee shop I was origninally planned on getting my food and beverages from was open and had no other customers being waited on since there was no one else on the counter and in the...
Read moreAfter 10 min of waiting for my order, I asked the barista how much longer for my order, and she replied there were 3 more tickets ahead of me. I looked around, and there was no one else on line or in the store. I asked her how that was possible when no one else was here? She said that they are mobile orders and that they make the drink as the ticket is made. With that being said, there were 5 employees working, and ALL of them were still making mobile orders as I stood there waiting. After voicing that I had to go, they continued to make these other tickets for people who were not there. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait any longer. After 15 min of waiting and watching all 5 employees continue to work on mobil orders, I asked for a refund since they obviously were not in a hurry to make my coffee as I was standing there. Of course, they took their sweet time figuring out who would get on the register to give me a refund, but that wasn't until I got very firm for them to hurry up, and told them the same way they took my money they can give it back. So, after 20 min, I finally got a refund. I understand Starbucks is a busy establishment, and I respect all the hard work and nonsense you all have to deal with. As we waited for our drinks to be crafted with care, we chatted about the lovely array of cups and umbrella holders. Then after we decided where to sit, we both looked at our curated feeds. After we finished, we decided to walk all around the mall. First we went and got a jersey shirt at a really cool place called Sneaker King. Then, we went to Boscov’s. Next, we stopped at Auntie Anne’s for a pretzel and lemonade. After this, I showed Abdul where I got my first Pistons jersey from (now known as Crunch).
