Marita's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Sea Isle City

Sent my daughter and her friend with $20 to get some ice cream. We've never been here before, as the lines are always ridiculously long, but they wanted to wait, so they walked over. I assumed $10 per kid would be enough to get something decent, even with prices being what they are nowadays. Turns out, this is one the many places down here that is switching to the "we won't tell you the price until you're hooked in" type of doing business. No prices anywhere. Even after they ordered, the woman said she would give them the price AFTER she makes everything. Of course it came out to be $3 over After the food was made, so my daughter had to change her order and the original just thrown out(I assume). Very poor customer service…

We went to get water ice. While ordering we were told they were out of a majority of the flavors they had listed on their display windows. The staff noted out of the 8 flavors of water ice displayed they only had bubble gum. We hadn’t tried bubble gum before, and considering we were the only ones in line at the time, I asked to sample a little bit before purchase. Our intentions were to sample bubble gum, and then make a selection on what to get from there. We left empty handed. My brother Concho was assaulted in their line. It was an hour and a half long…if only they hired a non-college student to scoop ice cream, staff would be bigger and the line would have moved faster and Concho would still have his right eye. I’m not complaining, Concho is, not me, I get it, if you hire someone who isn’t in college they might work there until…September…and you develop an affinity towards them, and much like Concho’s depth perception, that’s just not meant to be. Also, the menu has no prices, so these future CEO scoopers could be making up prices and pocketing the difference, no one is keeping an eye on it...
