I have visited this Hennesseyâs multiple times hoping each visit would prove me wrong on my previous impression. Unfortunately, it seems the only thing that is consistent at this particular location is the lack of good service. I really want to love this place, and that is why I keep giving them another shot. I really love the layout of this location and the $6 vodka lemonades are irresistible. The food here is nothing to write home about. My husband orders the wings and always has to order an extra side of sauce because they always come out dry. Iâve tried the bleu cheese burger and mushroom and swiss, and was unimpressed so I just order the garlic Parmesan fries if I do eat anything here. My biggest complaint about this restaurant is the poor service. I expect to wait an extended period of time when I come here, but it is the poor attitude of the servers that makes me not want to come back again. This has been my experience every time I come here. Even when the restaurant is not busy the servers seem unhappy to be at work and carry themselves in an unprofessional manner. For example, today, our server Ginger J was eating behind the bar while we waited for her to check on the food we received. Our order was wrong, however, we had to wait over 15 minutes for her to come and even check on us. It may be that these employees do not receive a proper lunch break, but again, that is something that should be handled by management to ensure guests are not effected. When she arrived the food was cold. It just seems a little disrespectful to be eating on the floor while your tables are waiting to eat themselves. It was the same struggle the entire visit of trying to get her to refill our drinks or even close our tab out. This seems to be a reflection of the lack of involvement of management on the floor. The $6 vodka lemonades are not enough for me to visit this location again. I always leave in a worse mood than when I walked in. I hope that management takes a more proactive approach in running the...

Came in from South Korea to visit my family in California.
Was told this was a great place to get a smash burger đ đ
This was my review after visiting the first time, "Service was great. Super friendly. Good food and atmosphere. Sure to visit again soon đ"
Unfortunately, we visited again today, for the third week in a row, and had the WORST experience I have had in a long time, if not ever. Too much to write the full confrontation. The TEMP Manager (was told his name is Michael) was unbelievably rude, condescending, and a flat out liar.
My wife and I were served fries that were, honestly, the bottom of the barrel, the scraps. And they fries are normally AWESOME đ I really wanted good fries so I brought it to the waitresses attention (Jasmine-she was nice). The manager had them put the old fries on the bottom and put some fresh on top. Whatever. No big deal. But when I brought it up after the manager came to our table, not to apologize for the fries, but to complain we put our own tomatoes on the burger (I get it. Shouldn't do that đ), he called me a liar and said he personally threw them out. BUT WE ALL SAW THE KITCHEN AND THE FRIES! I asked to speak to the general manager and Michael (Temp Manager) came over with a huge attitude and just gave me a card, even though I found out later the GM was onsite (Susan-spoke with her on the phone later). When I explained that my mom and her guest were pillars of the community, locals, and had frequented the establishment for years, Michael said, "you will not be missed". Unfreaking believable!
I realize this is a business, I realize we are just simple customers, but no one should be treated this way. Truly disappointing đ
If any corporate folks happen to read this, he is not someone you want representing your business. Period. It was a truly...
Read moreI'm a regular and normally happy with the grunts.
It's very loud inside, but just don't take your college professor there for a deep discussion. Party instead.
On warm days, they have big windows that can catch the ocean breeze.
Great value on Tuesday and Thursday.
Tuesday is 2 for the price of one burgers. A good burger with great fries. I think it comes out to $11 each for the two.
Thursday is Smash Burger night. I love pummeled and burned taste!
Ok, but here's the problem. Most of you know this, but a smash burger is just that. You start with a ball o beef and set it on a very hot griddle. Not grill! Smash it down hard until it's very thin.
The griddle holds the grease by the burger, making up for the extreme thinness of the smashed red meat.
This latest experience, never before, they used thin sliced regular burger... already packed too tight.
Another secret to a smash burger is the crust.... very high heat for a short time creates a very fantastic taste from the maillard reaction. Flavor changes by some reaction of high heat and sugar, I think. Crispy texture and outstanding flavor. Smash burgers must have this, or it's just a cheap Micky.... you know.
I'm mostly writing this to management so they find what happened that night.
Great fun place to go. I'll return. But this morning, I had to apologize to the people i brought there to be turned on to a local favorite. They looked at me like I was an amateur. I could be classified as an expert just by the size of my...
