This is the Alaskan themed pelmeni restaurant and hangout in the middle of Arkansas that you didn't know you were looking for.
For those who don't know, pelmeni is a traditional eastern European dumpling (similar to pierogi). Apparently, they came to Alaska before the US purchased the territory.
The dumplings are steamed and covered in melted butter and curry spices. Then they are served in a bowl with available Sriracha sauce and sour cream.
Servings are still a little small for what you pay for, but you do get a unique experience.
True to the name, the restaurant is covered in Alaskan decor. To vie for the Searcy hipster title, they have a stereo setup playing classic rock with boxes of vinyl available. Also a cold brew stand on display to keep studying students awake.

Finally, if you are still on the fence about whether sladers is right for you, consider this. I didn't have to write this incredible long review; but I did. You could be having the same experience that moved me to reach out to you in this way.

Mind you these are the best speciality Alaskan dumplings I've had this far South. Their house coffee is a great cup of coffee, and their cold brew isn't too shabby either. Spacious area for studying or hanging out with friends, and they don't mind loud groups playing games. They also have a food truck with different dumplings! So if you can track that down, it won't be your regular potato or chicken dumplings; they have a potato AND...
