Gyro Hut — Restaurant in Seattle

This place has good food, but apparently new management that can't treat customers fairly or get orders right. The previous staff were friendly and competent (and faster), and got me in the habit of going weekly.

Since the staff changed, they've gotten my order wrong 3 times. The same order, in the same way, after I complained. Like many people, I avoid red meat for health reasons. The first time I ordered chicken and got beef, there were other customers waiting for their food, so I chalked it up to a lunch rush mistake and let it go.

But it happened again--I ordered chicken and got beef. So I mentioned it when I ordered on my next visit. I ordered but added that I wanted to make sure I got chicken, since I hadn't before. The woman didn't apologize, or try to trace what happened, or offer anything to compensate for the mistake. She didn't even listen to me before interrupting defensively. She declared that it's the customer's responsibility to watch what they put on the grill for your order. Which would be difficult when it's busy and you're trying to stay 6 feet apart. It didn't seem to occur to her that the business taking your money should endeavor to give you what you paid for, or simply apologize and compensate for a mistake, without a fight. (I work in customer service and spent years in food service, and this is really awful treatment of customers) On THAT visit, I did get chicken. And yet!

Today I went for my chicken gyro. They had me repeat my order, and I added "chicken" for a 3rd time. I thought this had been sorted out. But I got home and unwrapped my food to find beef yet again. I called to say it happened again, and I'm sick of it. They said I could come back to get a chicken one, perhaps implying it would be free. I don't have time to go back during the work day to argue or get the right food. I only have 30 minutes for lunch. But that's Strike 3. They're out, until they change management again. I won't go back. If a restaurant wants to stay in business, it has to give you what you ordered. Gyro Hut has shown itself incapable of this simple task, to say nothing of the terrible...

From time to time, I crave of the dishes in this place. The food was great; the price fair. I remembered the only thing I complaint about this place, in 2017, was that they closed too early (at 8pm). I miss the food tho.

We stopped by and ordered food. The lady behind the cash register was extremely inattentive, busy FaceTiming her children. I asked please skipped the onion off my lamb salad. Okay, she said. We ordered French Fries too and paid. When we waited we grew hungrier and actually made an order of Fish & Chips and a side of garlic sauce. Food came, guess what? The onion was still overly present in the salad; the individual order of French Fries was a no-show. Lady… The food, on the other hand, was exceptional. The Fish & Chip, surprisingly, was one of the best I’ve had of its kinds. The fries were so crunchy and well seasoned. The fish has a light battered coating, crispy and no weird bitter taste. There was only two pieces of fish in the order, kinda small too. But they were meaty. The shawarma lamb salad contains the most tender and juicy lamb bites I have ever had; fresh veggies and the dressing yummy but not overpowering. Except for the stomach-cramp-inducing raw onion, I couldn’t be more happier with my salad.

recently had the pleasure of dining at Gyro Hut and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors that truly satisfied my palate. It's evident that they use fresh, high-quality ingredients, making each bite a joy.

What stood out to me, aside from the delectable food, was the impeccable cleanliness of the establishment. It's clear that the management places a high priority on maintaining a clean and inviting environment, which greatly enhances the dining experience.

Additionally, the service at Gyro Hut was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about providing an exceptional experience for each customer. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, making me feel well taken care of.

Overall, my visit to Gyro Hut was nothing short of wonderful. Great food, a clean environment, and excellent service all contributed to a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Gyro Hut to anyone looking for quality gyro dishes in a welcoming atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to...
