This place is located right around the corner from us, and is out go-to spot for neighborhood coffee now.
The coffee is surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because we assumed it was more of a doggy day care that happened to serve coffee, so we had low expectations going in. Glad to be proven wrong :)
All the espresso drinks I've had have been good with the exception of a lavender latte. It doesn't seem like any of their syrups are made in-house, so the more adventurous flavors just seem a little low quality. Whenever I stick to the basics (white chocolate, mocha, vanilla, hazelnut) it's always solid. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I usually have to ask for half syrup at most places, but Bark's drinks normally come out good as is.
Haven't had the drip, but the couple of times we've gotten cold brew have been hit or miss. We usually stick with espresso drinks now.
Small selection of pastries (I think Macrina) but nothing special.
As a savory tooth I always get the black bean burrito and my wife likes both of the breakfast sandwiches. We've never had complaints in that department.
The cafe is dog friendly, but they have their own separate entrance.
Inside space is intimate so it can feel like it fills up fast, but they have outdoor seating...
Read moreThis place as a GODSEND today as I needed to find a place to work remotely with my dog while repairs were being done at my home. She had the peanut butter pooch latte and I enjoyed a soy latte - both super low-priced by Seattle COL standards! We hung out on the dog side of the cafe (be sure to not make my mistake and take your dog into the kitchen side!!! Dogs go in the door on the left, very clearly marked - I was not paying close attention!) for a few hours, where she enjoyed some toys and bones in the dog beds all provided for our use.
Maybe the best part of all was how respectful the staff were of my sweet nervous dog's boundaries! I often feel guilty taking her out in public because she can be nervous around strangers, but the staff at Bark seemed very well-trained with nervous dogs. They didn't force her to say hi and they read her signals to know when it was time to leave her alone. Y'all are so great....
Read morePlaced an order online for pickup at about 8:15am. 3 coffees, 3 breakfast sandwiches, and 1 pastry. Order was supposed to be ready at 8:30. Arrived at 8:25 and didn't leave until 8:50. There were 2 groups in front of me and no other customers inside. The 1 person working took the order of the first group (3 people), and chatted with them for about 5 minutes. Then slowly made their drinks, then started to do other stuff without yet acknowledging myself, or the other person in line. By 8:45 I asked about my online order, and the drinks hadn't been made yet. She said it would be about 5 minutes, but it was ten. It was nearly $80 for my order, my sandwiches were cold by the time I got them home, and it took nearly half an hour to serve 4 people, myself included, and my order was in before I even got there. The food was fine, but this place is SLOW. Not recommended for a Monday morning...
