PROS: Fast and friendly service
CONS: I would NOT recommend ordering from here if you are eating by yourself. See below for full feedback. They need to open some windows and air out the restaurant a bit. It has a really funky smell from the years of spices that have seeped into its walls.
FEEDBACK: This IS NOT a good place to order from if you are eating by yourself because if you want some variety (instead of just one curry), you have to order full sizes.
I ordered two curries (masala + palak paneer) that came with rice for dinner. With tax and tip, it ended up being $37. I ended up getting these two big tubs of curry and a massive container of rice...that's nice, if I were obese or a sumo wrestler.
But I'm not. And what ended up happening was I had curry leftovers for 2 days which subsequently made me very very tired of curry.
I would have been fine paying $20 for less than half the food I got, if it meant a little more variety. I would much rather have the option of choosing 3-4 curries and then getting them in small quantities as a combo. It also means I would be less tired of Indian food and would order from here more.
My suggestion to management is to add a set dinner combo--a small appetizer (like, one mini samosa or something), choice of 3 curries, choice of rice or naan, and a tiny little thing of dessert. Charge $15-17. Avoid large portion sizes--keep these small. When people have more variety in their meal, they feel full faster. Have 4-5 of the most popular curries on rotation for people to choose from.
By allowing some limited choices, it will make ordering from here much easier as well. When restaurant menus are really lengthy, it actually can get detrimental to...
Read moreI came to pick up an online order that was placed 45 minutes before my arrival. The restaurant had people in it but was in no way busy. Nobody was managing the front door. After standing around for 10 minutes an older gentleman finally came over. He asked if I was there for a pickup. I gave him two possible names it could be under. He walked away and started packing a large order so I figured he was packing mine. Another 10 minutes went by when another man came over to check in on what I needed. I told him the same thing that I was picking up an order. He went to check all the orders they had and then just walked off. Finally, after another 10 minutes had passed a young woman came up and asked what I was there for. Again, I told her that I was picking up an order. I told her the names and she checked all the orders. She came back to me and said that they had no orders under that name. It turns out that the order was ready the whole time, but when they took down our name over the phone they mistook Wendy for Bendy. Instead of following up and trying to figure out what was wrong the first two people who checked in just walked off and ignored me rather than trying to figure out what the issue was. The food was good, but the service was terrible. If you're willing to deal with the service feel free to try this place, but there are other similar options like Taste of India and Saffron Grill which are of similar quality with much...
Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic experience at Masala India last weekend, and I can’t stop raving about it! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel right at home. The service was impeccable—our server was attentive, quick with recommendations, and even checked in to make sure we were loving every bite, which we absolutely were! The food? Oh my goodness, it was a flavor explosion! The butter chicken was creamy, rich, and perfectly spiced, while the garlic naan was so soft and buttery it practically melted in my mouth. We also tried the vegetable biryani, and the layers of aromatic rice with fresh veggies were just divine. Every dish was bursting with authentic Indian flavors, and you could tell the chefs pour their heart into every plate. The atmosphere was the cherry on top—vibrant yet cozy, with soft Indian music playing in the background and colorful decor that made the place feel like a little slice of India. The lighting was just right, creating this warm, inviting vibe that made our meal feel special. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking for a memorable night out, Masala India is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Five stars...
