I just travel to West Seattle on business and typically eat at Jack in the box. When I got to the restaurant I needed to go to the restroom very quick and I noticed they had locks on their bathroom doors…… Not a good sign:-( so I asked the cashier if she could please let me in. She immediately said it’s for customers only which I thought was really weird to say there a public establishment and how does she know I’m not there to eat? So I said so you assume I’m not here to eat she says you need to place your order before I can unlock the bathroom door. I’m sure she was going by House rules but she seemed a bit rude and out of sorts she was a black cashier with her hair all up in out of order. Like this particular Jack-in-the-Box has policies I have one to you and I won’t eat at any place that is rude to their customers like this woman was rude to me. If I were Jack-in-the-Box I would look into this particular Jack-in-the-Box in West Seattle and figure out why they have route cashiers and locks on their bathroom doors. I’m assuming it’s because they are in a drug infested area. I surely don’t look like a druggie so I figured these perfect people are just rude!! Personally if I was Jack-in-the-Box I would write this woman up she was on shift at 2:30 that’s the time I walked in she was working in the cashier area taking orders skinny black woman hair up and it looked like a bird was making a nest in it :-( It wasn’t because she had a hairnet on because she wasn’t wearing one? Pretty sure that’s a violation of the health code! Too bad for Jack-in-the-Box just lost a customer because of some lanky black woman thinking that she can power trip people :-( NOT ON MY DIME!! I would really think twice before stopping at this place because obviously it’s not a clean place to eat and obviously they have to be on guard for drug addicts!! Worst customer service ever!! Stopped to eat and had to really use the Bathroom;-( A Black Women Said I was not allowed to use the restroom until I physically placed an order! Because of that attitude I wouldn’t eat at Jack in the...
Read moreWe walked in our new neighborhood for Sunday breakfast at jack in the Box on Admiral and my wife chose the platter, while I was eyeing the breakfast burritos. Then she went for a croissant sandwich instead and I got the platter. Joy! They serve SBC coffee -- the precursor of Starbucks, really good.
The drive up was really busy but we were one of only two seated tables inside. The food was good, plenty of eggs. Hash Browns were greasy, but they usually are everywhere.
Only one young woman was working the counter and drive up and another was cooking. This girl was Friendly! She told us to sit down and relax. I got my wife's sandwich but it was sausage instead of the bacon we ordered. That's when she said that she would bring us the platter. I wish I could remember the server's name,
She said "Do you guys want this sandwich? -- because I'm just going to throw it away." Well of course! Then it turned out that the croissants were frozen, so they would not be able to replace the sandwich quickly. Kyra, that was her name, insisted she would write on the receipt to replace that sandwich on our next visit. It's in my pocket now. Her friendliness turned an awkward fail into a pleasant situation for all.
The last couple of times I had breakfast at McDonald's their portions had become so small that I said, "Never again," though I do like their sandwich offerings. Here at Jack in the Box, the sausage sandwich was the size of a normal hamburger bun, generous enough, good sausage too. About half the time I don't care for the sausage I come across in restaurants.
Plenty of parking, convenient to all kinds of other retail, highly recommend. We will go back and try the...
Read moreWe put our online order in to pick up dinner and waited the 10 mins they say it would take to pick up.
When we got to the restaurant we told them we put in a online order and we were there to pick it up. They told us it hasn't populated yet and that we should wait 20 mins and come back around. Which was fine.
What was not fine was them having us wait there for over an hour with the kids for them to tell us in the end there's nothing they can do. No refund no food. And a an hour and a half of our time wasted looking at them do nothing.
If they had told us from the beginning that there was nothing they could do about the online order we would've understood and been on our way.. but stringing us along for that long with kids in the car was the wrong way to handle the situation.
The store manager was on the phone and we were still told to come talk to her Monday instead of her managing her employees to do something to make it right.
Plus the only way to get a refund or inquire about our order is to leave a survey card online..
Until Jack's makes it right we won't be wasting our time with a company that doesn't care about it's customers time or money. I can only imagine they care about the food...
