Made a reservation ✔️ Showed up a bit early for reservations for seated right away ✔️ Asked to have the wobbly table fixed ✔️ Got served water and plain coffee right away ✔️ Asked for Irish coffee with Bailey's and waiting like almost 10 minutes to get it, along with had to ask to make our order. The helper staff who brought water and coffee were on it and kind, then we had the waitress come over. She walked over with attitude and a look on her face like we were bothering her. My husband made a joke after each person in our party said they were on separate checks he said " I am whole" which the waitress replied with a annoying face and said "ok and what do you want to order"
That was not the worse of it. I barely got any cheese in my ham and cheese scramble which I paid $2 for and then the meat lovers egg Benedict was all sorts of terrible. The eggs were hard, not poached (see picture below) the meat was a bit off in taste and don't get me started on the lack of acidic tasting hollandaise sauce. 😢
They brought the check with great haste and we paid as fast as could and left with never wanting to ever come back.
The worse part is we had been to this place for a special Ship Show last week and had a great time, but now we will be asking for a refund as to not have to come back to this place and get bad service...
Read moreI’ve been to Julia’s before, and had an average experience. But this past Sunday it was terrible.
Put our name on the list (table of 4) and told “about ten minutes” only to see a group of three who arrived 12 minutes after us get seated first. Okay. Hostess was... sharp with us and, while she was busy, the eye roll when we asked why the later party was sat first was unnecessary.
Once seated, waited 20+ minutes to have our order taken, watched several table that arrived in the same 5 minute block of time as we did, receive their food while we waited to place an order. My coffee cup sat empty after I drank the first fill, despite trying to catch an eye of those filling coffees, and asking “can I also get a refresh?”
Finally placed an order and asked for our checks at the same time, and paid, then waited for food.
Food was good (breakfast tacos, an omelet, classic breakfast and waffles) but the food poisoning I received was an unpleasant surprise.
I’m not sure if I’d return. It’s average, but I want to support my neighborhood restaurants. Maybe in a year or two. And only during...

I made reservations via Open Table for three at 12:15 on a Sunday. We arrived five minutes early and let the host know we were there and that we had a reservation. We watched and waited as all the other parties waiting (sizes of two to four) were all seated before us. We were finally seated around 12:30. What was the point of even making a reservation? None, apparently.
The host who seated us handed us two brunch menus and one breakfast menu, leading to much confusion. This is a small thing, but added to the list of annoyances.
Later, the server came around to refresh our coffee, and assumed we were all drinking it. One of my companions was having tea and coffee was poured into that mug, too. ☹️
Now, Julia's is kind of legendary, and this was my first visit, and everyone has off days, so I'm not upset at all, and will definitely recommend you eat here. This was just my experience, and I expect it is...
