This is the small informal fish and chips sit-down restaurant next to Chinook's. It offers covered outdoor or indoor seating. Easy going menu with enough options to make everyone happy. I ordered the lingcod with an extra piece of hibut for 9 bucks. The pieces are small but crispy. The lingcod was delicate, fresh and a delight in texture. Just the right amount of seasoning and fried to the perfect crispiness. It didn't feel oily or frozen. The halibut was denser and more flavorful. I was a different experience but looked exactly the same. I'm glad I tried both. The clam chowder was also very good being thick but not chalky. The flavors were well developed. The condiments were well stocked so you can eat the fish the way you want to. The seasoned fries were good but not addictive. I was thankful for that. After the meal, a walk along the publicly accessible pier and a visit to the fisherman's memorial completed...
Read more2/12/25 My family and I were trying to go to a different restaurant in the same area that apparently had just closed down ruining our dinner plans. So we stumbled into this place unaware that they technically just closed (hours were wrong on maps). Our order was taken and we were planning on sitting down to eat, we were extremely politely told that they actually closed 5 minutes ago. He just wanted to let us know, but they would still allow us to eat inside. I was horrified since I had worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and I would never walk into a place 30 minutes ago before closing, let alone 5 minutes after closing. Both of the gentlemen behind the counter insisted it was ok, but I requested it to go instead because I refused to make them stay late. The food was fantastic and the two employees went above and beyond to get my family fed....
Read moreWe wanted seafood but didn’t care to spend 2 hours and $200 for 3 people. Decided on Little Chinooks and loved the “fish ‘n chips stand” vibe and tables by the wharf. VERY reasonable in what is an expensive city for most dining. In fact, we took an Uber just for the ride and no regrets spending as much on the rides there and back as on the meal. For fine dining, go to the regular Chinooks, but Little Chinooks suited us great. The shrimp aka prawns were best… my husband really enjoyed lightly fried salmon and I had cod. Also had small fried clams but not that tasty. Fries are plentiful, though standard fare, but the poppyseed coleslaw was a refreshing side. Clam chowder was good too. I wish I’d tried a taco or two. Lots of tables under a metal roof or just outside near wharf. Fun to look around after too. So happy we...
