Target Doesn't Seem to Care
The below post was originally around March 25th, 2025. Well it happened again. Again, none of the parking garage elevators at the Northgate Target were working this morning. I turned around and went to QFC for my groceries.
None of the parking garage elevators at the Northgate Target were working this morning. Unlike most Targets, this store is in the top two floors in a building attached to a 7 level parking garage. Not on ground level. Their business is dependent on the parking garage and the bay of four elevators between the store and the parking garage. The parking garage and these elevators are maintained by Kite Property Management. The maintenance of the elevators are not directly the responsibility of the Target store. So why complain about Target? Because from my experience it appears that Kite only keeps one or two of the four elevators working at any one time. I have not see either of the two elevators in the south part of the elevator bay working in the last month or so. Why would a company, Kite, invest in establishing this infrastructure, the elevators particularly, and then only maintain it minimally? And why would Target pay what I suspect is tens of thousands of dollars of lease per month and allow the property company to so poorly maintain these elevators that their business is so dependent on? It tells me how little Target cares about their customers experience and for that matter doesn't seem to care enough about the success this store to hold their leasing company to account. For the record, when the elevators were not working previously, I made a point of speaking to a Target manager. I got the answer they they were not responsible for the elevators, the property company was. I did pointed out their business is dependent on those elevators. I think I got a shrug. And in full disclosure, I passed through the building later in the day and the elevators, or at least one, was working. But I'm sure they repaired only one, maybe two of the four elevators. Don't bet on them being available when you next come there.
Here's a picture of the groceries that I had to cart all the way down the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReview specifically for the gentleman who āhelpedā me with my drive up order and gave me the most awkward pick up experience of my life leaving my spouse and I very uncomfortable. Never got his name but he was very tall, quiet and either had a receding hairline completely or brown hair with a very pushed back line. Came out and if I didnāt acknowledge him first he wouldāve never said anything, aka didnāt bother confirming the order was going into the correct vehicle. I have it set to put in the trunk, he justā¦stands there. Doesnāt attempt to open the trunk or anything. Itās very simple itās like he tried once and literally sat there for another 3-4 minutes before just standing to the side of the trunk staring at me thru my side mirror. Still no words until I say ādo you need help opening the trunk?ā And he cuts me off and says āit wonāt open.ā with a really mean look on his face. So I just got out opened the trunk in 2 seconds, went back in the car, he loads it up then shuts it HARD when heās done and doesnāt say anything. Just walks away. Then checks in on the car next to me with a smile and a much more pleasant attitude. Incredibly weird experience, felt extremely judged for no reason at all on top of having to deal with this guys serial killer stare- because of my schedule I have to do target pick-up a lot and Iām just praying to god I wonāt get that guy again. He made my spouse and I extremely uncomfortable. Not that it matters but I will highlight the employee was white and my partner and I are mixed raced couple. So not sure if thatās what it was or what. If I get him again and get the same behavior, Iām going to a manager about it. Never in my life have I experienced customer service like that, Iāve worked in customer service for years. Something is off...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I could give Target ZERO stars at this point. The sad thing is that this store isn't actually all that bad, but you better hope you don't have to get on the phone with their customer service. I ordered a furniture item and was sent the wrong thing, something not even close to what I ordered. I had to call to get it fixed, and encountered their pathetic excuse for customer service for the first time. No one I spoke to could understand what I was asking for until I had repeated it 10 times, when all I wanted was to send the wrong thing back and get what I originally wanted. After talking to TWO people when my request apparently wasn't actually followed through with the first time, I was apparently sent four emails in total for the sole purpose of giving me a return label, none of which I received. Strangely enough I don't really want a huge box sitting in my living room for a couple days with an item I don't want, so I ended up having to write 'return to sender' all over it and send it off, I still have not received a return label. I was assured multiple times on the phone (MULTIPLE) that my item would be here earlier than, or on the 5th. She reassured me that I would be given expedited shipping to compensate for their mistake. Apparently that didn't happen either because when I went to go check the tracking it's moving along nice and slowly with regular shipping, not even close to arriving when I was promised. I don't know if Target thought they would save money by hiring an untrained and incompetent excuse for a customer service staff, but that was a really poor move on their part. DO NOT order anything online from...
