It would feel more than just a little wrong to give a fast food restaurant (especially a world dominating n powerful corporation such as it is) a great or perfect score as the rating level stars are used to express quality and service in all places on a scale equally. So with that thought process in effect and the knowledge of how I'm coming at this rating.I think that a fast foods top score should be 3stars which is what I give this McDonald's Location.I've been to this location many, many times over the years and as much as I can remember and most definitely in the resent year it always has provided a quick, trusted (to get the order correct) fresh (just cooked, mixed blended, fried, wrapped up and presented as is expected, but with so many different locations, isn't at all the common result)and friendly experience. To be honest 85% of my visits to this location are from 11pm till 6am in the morning and even when there's a unfriendly angry and volitile customer in the vehicle in front of me (who for some reason held up the drive thru line yelling and cursing out the employees at the windows, ending with the individual getting up out of her car and throwing her bag and drink in the window in an attempt to hit the gentlemen who I guess she felt caused her some kinda of problem) I still was greeted with a friendly (but understandably frustrated and frazzled) smile.I could see the employees at the pick-up window rush to verify that the meals that they had prepared for the rest of us in line and had just set them down to have the angry person throw her food and beverage back through the window and threaten and then leave without food and I'm hoping no(customer is always right) refund. Theyre also very cautious as to not be careless during the covid-19 crisis meaning that the dining room is closed, the drive through windows have extra blocking coverage to help prevent unhealthy conditons and as from, my perspective keep masks on at all times and consistently wash they're hands(something that I pay attention to now). Lastly as if those reasons weren't enough, it's one of the best locations I know of cause even with the covid restrictions and what seems to be neverending construction work of all kinds surrounding almost the whole store (not leaving much room for parking lot traffic etc.) they're always open 24hrs and have a ever changing yet completely easy and logical path that is only there to lead you to and through the drive through without confusion and the perfect amount of space needed to make your way through without causing or recieving any damage or awkward tight turns. Just as a bonus it's literally the only Mcdonald's I've been to that hasn't at least once asked me to pull forward and oark. Waiting for the final piece of food that wasn't ready yet. It's a long, over worded and 1sided opinion of this fast food location but if it didn't have to compete with regular restaurants all getting voted on the exact the same way as everything on this, it would get a 5Star vote from, me, for a fast food restaurant it gets the highest a restaurant like this gets in my own scale and thats a top and flawless 3. Perfectly get what's expected and don't seem to be doing...
Read moreI used to work in customer service, so I know what it means to do the job right and this place clearly doesn’t. It feels like they hire just anyone without proper training, and no one takes the time to double-check orders before handing them out. I had to drive back two times just to get everything I ordered. My original order included a large caramel frappe, 20 Chicken Nuggets + two medium fries from the app deal, and ten Spicy McChickens.
The first time I received my order, I drove off and checked it in the car. All I got was the large caramel frappe, the two medium fries, and the ten Spicy McChickens. The 20 Nuggets and sauces were missing. So I drove back to the store, went inside, and told the cashier. They gave me a bag with the 20 Nuggets. Thinking that was everything, I left again.
Once I checked the order in the car a second time, I realized the Sweet N Sour and Ranch sauces I had ordered were still missing. So I drove back again -- this time through the drive-thru-- and had to curse at the staff before they finally gave me the rest of my order.
Anyone working in customer service should understand that a customer’s request needs to be fully handled before the interaction ends. The employee who gave me my food didn’t double-check the order and acted like it wasn’t her concern. She gave me attitude and weird looks, with no apology or accountability. She just acted like nothing had happened.
McDonald's should focus on training their employees to carefully double-check customer orders and ensure everything is complete before handing it over. While I understand that working in customer service can be hectic, it’s important not to let that lead to mistakes or sloppy service.
I even reached out to corporate to file a complaint because the service was that bad.
Can anyone who is reading this review name a single fast-food place where you have to go back twice just to get your...
Read moreOkay, it’s easy to rate Mickey D’s poorly, I know. But get this. The first time(my family and I think) in at least 10 years that I decided to go to one, it was laughably bad. The choice was due to proximity. My youngest just finished a track meet, and I was going to reward her effort with a shake. Not finding any shake places convenient, we decided to hit McDonald’s for a “McFlurry.” I was hungry, and thought I would see if a quarter pounder was still as bad as I remembered while we were at it.
I didn’t get to find out.
Why?
Because after a surly employee told me to “wait a minute” after I pulled up to the menu, and after I proceeded to wait several minutes (I know, first world problems, but it IS a fast food restaurant, and it was 12:45pm), I then ordered lunch and tacked a mcflurry onto my order. But instead of being told what it would cost, I was informed, “We’re not serving ice cream right now.”
In a split second, what went thru my mind was a series of questions: Was it the dreaded and famous “broken ice cream machine?” Or was it something else? Why on earth WOULDN’T they be serving ice cream? It’s April, in a city with a mild climate, not December in Fargo. And even at that, what’s that even mean?
But I didn’t stick around to find out. I said, well, cancel the oder, please. And I drove around the building to Five Guys and got my daughter a shake there instead. Along with a burger and fries. And while I spent a lot more money, the staff at the Five Guys was extremely friendly and the milkshake extremely tasty. I’m sure I won’t bother with any McD’s again for at least...
