We thought we would try to get a coffee and pastry here today. There was someone standing at the counter talking to the person working. They were blocking access to the menus, and when we said excuse me they moved a little but not enough to get a menu. They kept chatting and neither the customer or the clerk or the other person working did anything or said anything like, "Oh I would love to keep chatting but I have other customers." Nothing. Then, the customer who didn't seem to care whatsoever that we were waiting behind them finally decided to place their order. We then looked at the pastries in the case and we saw there were many FLIES inside the pastry case! Disgusting. We just left. Neither of the clerks said a word. Very disappointing. The rude entitled customer is not the café's fault, but the staff's lack of attention and customer service coupled with the flies on the pastries? Unacceptable. Would never go back or recommend this place. ETA: King County gave them a Good, but look at the violations. No thanks!

Read moreLate writing this review just had a busy week. Went in here Monday around 10:30 after finishing some other errands in the area. Loved my chai it was fantastic but as someone who also works in customer service, the barista I got could be better. There was no one inside so not busy at all. I came in said hello, no response back just a stare. I don’t mind that, still waking up-I get it. It was my first time in so I needed a second to browse the menu. After I said that, I could see the barista roll her eyes and heard a slight groan. I just ordered a plain iced chai so I could get out quickly. I said thank you on my way out to try to kill the awkwardness of her staring at me from a afar trying to get the lid on my drink, also to no response. The barista gave a vibe like I was naturally inconveniencing her by being there, and it was a very unwelcoming atmosphere. In my experience working customer service, I’ve always been told to leave your attitude at the door. I don’t expect loud peppiness or anything, but simply being kind and not visualizing your displeasure in a situation where the customer truly did nothing wrong,...
Read moreSimilar to other (yelp) reviews I think the largest mr wests are better! Their website online is deceiving as it shows they offer a full menu of food, this location offers 3 food options and coffee and that’s it. I thought they would have much more as their website shows that they do. This one also was very VERY small, like 5 tables that comfortably sit 1. Two people could not work on one table with two laptops very easily. It was very expensive (but not surprised) about $23 after tax & tip for a croissant sandwich and an almond milk vanilla latte. Parking in the area isn’t super great either bc it’s a busy area & it’s all 2-hour parking (just for those curious, that does not affect my review.) The staff were all really nice tho! But I came with 2 friends to work for like 4-5 hours & we had to use 3 tables unfortunately bc they were so small. We likely won’t come back to this location, but will stick with the UVil! But that’s because we came to work; if I was in the area and not planning on hanging out I would probably come back to...
