Oh, honey, let me just tell you about East Anchor—it’s giving everything! The service? Flawless. They treat you like the fabulous star you are from the moment you walk in. Now, let’s talk about that halibut curry soup—an absolute flavor explosion. It’s bold, it’s rich, and it’s serving delicious realness. And the chocolate mousse? Babe, it’s to die for. Silky, luscious, and just decadent enough to make you swoon. But wait, the brown butter chocolate chip cookies? Shut the front door. They’re bursting with buttery, chocolatey goodness—like a warm, comforting hug from your favorite gay uncle. Overall, East Anchor is an absolute delight—chic, welcoming, and oh-so-satisfying. Trust me, you’ll leave feeling like a million bucks (and probably planning your next visit before you’ve even hit the door).

The fish tacos were amazing and tasted incredibly fresh, we absolutely loved them and all the toppings they came with! This shop also sells fresh fish and other provision items. We also grabbed some crab cakes and halibut burgers to make at home, The staff was friendly and very helpful when packaging our items for the ride. Highly recommend and I’ll be coming back to try more of their menu items!

Wow! What a great spot for lunch! I stopped by on a whim and was pleasantly impressed. Very tasty sandwich that came with a great crunchy vibrant side salad that was almost worth the price alone. Friendly staff, quick service and ample seating. Will definitely be coming back here again.

This is my go-to spot for oysters in this city. The market - it’s not quite a restaurant or bar - is terrific. The owner has often been on hand, building up the final meal by telling us a bit about the oysters. Much of it comes from along the coast and surrounding states as well. It’s great to be able to support a local business and the people who provide it, within the state. I can’t tell if the fish market with its’ prepared foods is a front for a casual dining spot of the locals in the area or vice versa. You will be enticed by everything you see that has been hand prepared and carefully placed in the case as you take your first step in. There’s no wait. Fresh seafood offerings here are locally sourced. And their prepared burgers made with salmon (feta and seasoning is on point) or crab cakes (a treat!) are usually in the cart of goodies we haul home after eating dozens of oysters. Their garlic bread is the best. I don’t think that’s something that normally stands out to me. It was memorable. If you get it just right, you can plan dinner, buy some seafood, drinks and salad or smoked fish spread. Indulge a bit for happy hour and leave with all your handpicked favorites. Two birds with one stone: dinner meal in hand and a belly full of fresh oysters.

After a month or so following the birth of my son, my husband wanted to take me out to a special place. My first thought was “oysters, some beer and maybe a bit of wine!” Then I remembered East Anchor Seafood. There’s no line. No dress code. Undoubtedly, we had to go. No wait and an attentive staff made this an ideal spot for us as new parents. Convenience and quality rarely go together. This place is, as you will find, a bit off the beaten path. And most definitely unexpected.

Go hungry and leave with your garlic bread and salmon burgers in hand, planning ahead for dinner; enjoying a dozen oysters and a glass of sparkling wine and an IPA not a moment before.

Yes please and...

Be warned: Saw one of the workers stepping on top of the cooking/preparation area. No joke, the dirty shoes were touching the side of the cutting board where fish was being prepared. seems like some type of health code violation. They stepped on this area to fix something on the top shelf area.

the food was okay, great oysters but the salmon burger was a bit dry.

additionally one of the staff was cursing about an "annoying" customer they encountered and speaking loudly about it. I understand customers can be annoying but no need to loudly use vulgarity...
