Washington never fails to surprise me with its hidden magic! I stumbled across the Valley of the Gnomes and instantly felt like I had walked into an enchanted storybook. 🧙🏽♂️💫
From sleepy gnomes lounging in hammocks to tiny ones peeking out from trees and fences, it was pure joy spotting each one. It’s a mix of charm, playfulness, and just the right touch of mystery. You never know where the next gnome is hiding!
This is such a fun adventure for kids and adults who are still young at heart. Definitely worth slowing down, wandering the path, and letting your imagination run wild. 🌿🍄

We visited yesterday and the gnomes were having a great feast, with laughter and dancing. My partner told me it was dangerous to approach - legend has it that if you eat the food the gnomes give you, you will be cursed for eternity. But I was so curious, I had never seen a gnome gathering before and I’ve been looking for community in Seattle and this seemed as good a place to look as any 🤷♀️

Read moreValley of the Gnomes is a quirky place, quintessentially Seattle. It is at the intersection of E Pine Street and 39th Ave—a wooden path elevated over a ravine-like pit. More importantly, it’s home to the gnome spotting game where you try to count all the gnomes hidden around the pit.
There is a truly impressive amount of gnomes. As your eyes get adjusted, you’ll seem them all over. There is a wide variety of gnome design from cute to weird.
