Overall, this restaurant is okay. The ambiance is nice, the staff are very friendly, and prices about what I expect for the area. I wouldn't be against going back if somebody else wanted to, but the food wasn't good enough to make me want to skip trying other restaurants. I ordered the American Wagyu Burger. The ingredients tasted fresh, but it was overall a little bland. The bites with brie in it were the best, but it was just a small square of it in the middle, as you can see in the picture. It had a bacon jam which was tasty for the first couple bites, but then started to taste overwhelming sweet without anything to balance the flavor out. I don't think the Wagyu meat was worth the bump in price, as I honestly couldn't tell it was any different. My partner ordered the sliders and the mac and cheese from the happy hour menu. The buns on the sliders were quite burnt, but the waitress noticed and offered to have them redo it, so that was lovely of her. The meat patties were way too small for the buns, but otherwise okay tasting. The mac and cheese was flavorful with a nice crispy topping. The foods we tried were certainly not bad , but nothing to write home about.

Visited Stanford's on a whim after some shopping nearby. Overall, a GREAT experience. I wish I could remember the bartender's name because she deserves a raise. (If management reads this, I visited on 06/24 at 2pm-find her!) I first ordered a "Huckleberry Raindrop," which sounded great...However, I found it overly sweet and couldn't drink it. I changed my drink order and next went with the tried-and-true Dirty Martini. WOW- easily one of the best dirty martinis I've had in the city. Perfectly chilled, just the right amount of brine, and they didn't skimp on the olives (I could have eaten like 3 more, but I decided to leave with a little dignity). Now, the Mediterranean Tavern Burger? I'm torn. Delicious either way, but the description led me to believe there would be an actual "patty." A more accurate description would be a gyro-style wrap on flatbread. Not your standard burger, but solid flavor and good execution. Upon payment I was pleased to see that I was not charged for the first drink which was not expected and greatly appreciated! Will 100% be back. Might even make it a regular thing just for that martini!

Nice, trendy, and spacious restaurant (ample free parking); friendly staff and good service. This was my first time here; my colleagues had recommended this place for fish and chips. I had the Beer-Battered Fish and Chips here, and it was just awesome! I have had a lot of fish and chips in my life, and at most other places, I have often come across cold, uncooked patches inside the fish. However, the fish and chips here was very refined, high-quality, and one of the finest I have ever had. The fish was less oily (less batter, more fish - nice and crisp), and its inside was tender and very well-cooked throughout, without any cold, uncooked patches therein. The chips were good too. The meal portion was perfect for me, though I thought it was priced a little higher than at other places; however, the higher price here is totally justified (the restaurant ambience is nice, and the same meal downtown Seattle and at a similar restaurant most probably will be priced much higher). Overall, based on my first visit, I found the place and the food to be great and totally worth my time and money. Do try it.

I finally chose Stanford's for an after work meal. Dinner & drinks.

Ordered a manly cocktail to start off. It was ok. The cherry garnish tasted like an off brand Morelo cherry, not the gold standard Luxardo. At least it wasn't some goofy bright red thing. Would have preferred it in an Old Fashioned glass and not a martini glass. Picky aren't I? Attention to detail, I guess.

Cheeseburger. It was good. The fries were good. The portion looked small for the price, but it all got eaten and I was full, so that's fine, too. I wasn't a fan of the presentation/assembly of the burger, in particular the iceberg lettuce was an orphan of the wedge salad, laid flat and stacked. It made it a tiny bit tougher on the tooth and ended up doing nothing for the burger, flavor wise. The patty of beef itself was very good, top notch. I really hope it is ground in house as a by-product of their wonderful steaks.

Beer with the burger was a 9 Pound Porter. Always a winner. They had Stella Artois on tap which I almost ordered until I remembered I have a keg of it at home. It's a great beer I've only recently fallen for. It goes down super easy.

The guys tending bar were both johnny on the spot, making conversation with a regular about a sports team or something. It was nice to see and I wondered what kind of 401k this retired guy had to afford being a regular. I sure couldn't afford to be a regular here. Final bill, with 25% tip totalled up was $50.

Stanford's is a chain part of a restaurant group. It serves mediocre food in a steak house presentation. The concept is a bit outdated but they've kept up with inflation.

For me the value isn't there but my curiosity has...

I just got done with a meal at Stanford's and for the first time was left feeling very let down both in the service I received, as well as the food overall. I live in the area and Stanford's has always been one of my go-to spots for a good meal and decent atmosphere. I always choose to sit at a booth in the bar as I generally eat alone. Usually the service feels very warm and welcoming, but tonight's experience was anything but. The waitress was very short with me from the beginning, I didn't even receive a conventional welcoming. She just asked what I would like to drink with my water. No hello, no how are you, and no "hi my name is ___I'll be your waitress tonight". Generally that wouldn't be a big deal to me. But I observed with everyone else she seemed very hospitable and her tone was upbeat. With me it was short and flat. I think maybe based on my appearance(hoodie and somewhat unkept beard, but hey this is Seattle, who cares?) she just chose to treat me differently. I ordered the Ribeye and a coke. I ordered it medium rare and it came medium. I was only once checked up on and asked if I needed a refill, but by that time I only had maybe one or two small bites remaining. With the service being as cold as it was today it made me really irritated seeing the automatic 5% added to the bill for wages. I tipped 10% which is half what I usually do and even that felt too much. I chose to give it three stars because generally the food and service is great. I'm just not sure if I'll choose to come back after how I...

Waiter or waitress are polite, food good, yes a little pricey but worth it. Steak tender, French dip good just maybe one exception cheese cake could have tasted a little better, or maybe because people not ordering deserts. I would this place a good restaurant to have steak dinner. This second part a new review hope manager or owners reads the new review. Came in August , family ordered the baked chicken, which was over cooked on piece of chicken. The chicken satay was dried tad bit over cooked, peanut sauce tasted different, had to much green scallions. Was not good peanut sauce, had the chicken pasta , the sauce was thin runny sauce and looked like it sat under heat lamp, the beef sandwich was okay. I think this was not a good meal at Standfords, which for the price paid, one would hope food taste good. This was not the case, last to mention once before a guy got upset because I took a extra napkin for family. Next order Ceasars salad alot and always ask please no capers on salad, ( this happened when ask for another salad with no capers, they took plate and brought back Ceasars salad where they just scrapped the capers and croutons off) I didn't say anything. So if anyone is reading this, always polite and say thank you. What ever happened that day with Chef must of had a bad day or didn't care how...
