I have never experienced such condescending management and ownership. I had straightened my hair for the first time a little over a week after I got my haircut. The hair looked unnatural, choppy and uneven, when I specifically asked for long layers. I called 3 times on 11/17 and left a voicemail around noon to ask to fix my haircut. I called again the following day, and I left a voicemail also around noon. I called again at 2pm and a woman responded, saying that she was waiting to hear back from the stylist and that's why she didn't respond. I told her that I felt really bad about my hair and wanted to get it fixed, or else I'd look for it elsewhere. She told me to send her pictures, and when I did, she said that Cat, the stylist, was with a client and is aware, and would get back to me. When she did not by the evening, I sent an email at 7:25pm demanding a refund because I wanted a place with a sense of urgency to fix my hair, which I have felt really uncomfortable with. I just got a response from the owner (quoted below), which was accusing me of being demanding, saying she will only give me a 30%, and saying that they are not a right fit for me, therefore NOT even proposing an option to fix my hair despite them not giving me a refund. She only said that the stylist is booked until March. Also, she accused me of not understanding their industry's standards, and obviously I don't.... I am a customer who is not in the industry. I want everyone to be aware of how condescending and passive-aggressive the owner Tiann is, and also how their idea of customer service is blaming the customer, who, mind you, spent $75 plus a tip on a service. In addition, although she is defending Cat, Cat told me on the day of my haircut 11/9/19, that she would text me to schedule my keratin, since she had another client right after me. It has been 10 days and I have received NO text. So clearly lack of communication goes beyond their 24-48 hour window, yet they choose to accuse their customers of being "demanding". I HIGHLY recommend that everyone read the owner, Tiann's, message below - Good Morning, "Hello I'm Tiann and I'm the owner of Flourish Beauty. I cannot offer you a full refund. We absolutely do our best at communication with our clients and wanting them to be happy with there services. Cat had planned to call you back this morning as she works 10 hour shifts on sunday and monday and is fully booked out until March. She did not have to time to reach out to you until now. We understand you are not happy with your hair, and with our clients we always want to fix it if this happens. Unfortunately you are demanding and seem to be not understanding of how this industry works with a 24-48 hours follow through with communication. We have years of experience and all of our stylist are professional and so great at what they do. I do not feel we are the right fit for you. I will refund you 30% of your service today. This should show in your bank account within 48 hours. We wish you well. Tiann Owner, Flourish Beauty"

Loveee coming here! I originally booked with this place because of how close it is to my house and I am so happy I did! I’ve been here twice now and have been thrilled each time. My first appointment was with Kari for a haircut and she was amazing! She is so sweet and super easy to talk to. She did exactly what I asked for and recommended some great products (not pushy though and I appreciate that). My second visit was with Mercedes and she did an overall color. I’ve been dealing with red undertones and she found a way to correct that! The color is gorgeous and I have been getting so many complements. 10/10 recommend this salon!

Do not go here if you want to get your hair cut, especially if you have any kind of preference for the way you want it cut. I had past-my-butt length hair, plenty of room to get whatever cut I wanted and between the owner, and two of their “stylists” one of which they call a “junior stylist” (apparently she doesn’t know how to cut hair at all, and is basically in training which they don’t disclose that) they butchered my hair and I will likely have to get at least an inch or two more cut off to even out the “layers” they were attempting to give me. Horrendous excuse for a hair salon and lied up and down about what was going on. I had to get up and leave before they tried any further to cut it so I could save my hair for another day. I am so mad and deeply upset.

What I was asking for was really really basic and they should have been transparent about not knowing how to do the cut let alone how to do basic layers. I am so mad.

The lady I booked with is labeled a “junior stylist”. She began my cut and immediately called over another stylist to “help her trim it into the V style”. I had several photo references for what it should look like.

After a bit I turned to look in the mirror and my hair was already cut straight across the back and was uneven and choppy. They said “yes it’s in the V style, but we’ll go back over it and even it out at the end”. And then the junior stylist kept cutting at the hair, never getting it into the v pattern. At that point j was scared and said “are you confident you can do this cut?” She said “yes. Absolutely” and then kept cutting trying to make conversation.

I stopped her and then the other stylist came back, asked if I wanted her to do it and then she very forcefully and angrily started to “correct” what the other girl had been trying to do. I could tell even she was at a loss and didn’t know how to fix it. I started becoming more and more vocal and then the owner, who I had noticed had been glancing our way the entire time, stepped in and very anxiously said “what would you like us to do?”

They knew my hair was botched and I think they knew they wouldn’t be able to fix it let alone get me the style I had asked for from the very beginning.

I cannot get my hair back and I will be reporting this business to the BBB. You guys don’t know how to cut hair and you should not be allowing a student under the guise of “junior stylist” be on your staff.

It doesn’t matter if they comp my haircut, I lost over a foot in length that will take time to grow out, a lost day off of work and lots of worry. I am sick over this, they had SO much hair...

Flourish is a wonder place to come and get pampered. I have had several positive experiences with many different service providers there and let me tell you they don't disappoint. My first experience was with Oliva an esthetician who has given me several great facial and the massage she gives with the service will make you melt like butter. My second experience was getting my hair cut with Alyssa who is truly gifted at her craft. She will impart little tips on hair care and your hair cut will come out so nice! Most Recently though I had my eyebrows microbladed and my eyeliner done with Na. She is really care about the quality of service she gives. Na took the time to draw on my brows just right and make any changes I wanted. That process too a bit but she was patient and really listen to what I wanted and worked with me to help me achieve my goal. I couldn't be happier with the result I didn't realize that micro balding would make me feel so polished. The eyeliner I did in another appointment. My favorite part about the eyeliner is that I can rub my eyes without smearing it across my face. I have an active life style. I scuba dive, hike, kayak and chase little kids around all day. It is so nice not having to think about smears from sweat or looking like a racoon! I would say to anyone go to Flourish beauty! Thank you Na for the amazing job you did on my...
