The inside door knob to my patio broke off into my hand. It was probably the original one from the late '70s. When I contacted a couple of locksmiths about replacing the door knob and re-keying to match the current lock; one had a cost of $500-$600, two others did not respond to my inquiry. Turns out he also had a used door knob from the same manufacturer as my current one and it matched the other hardware for that door. He only replaced the interior knob so no re-keying was required.
