If you're a fellow taco enthusiast like me, and you’re anywhere near Seattle, then make your way to the HomeGoods parking lot for the gem that is Taqueria Mi Barrio. Coming from California, where taco trucks populate almost every corner, I can tell you that this secret taco truck in Seattle tops them all. I've had a love affair with tacos for years and trust me, I've been around the block a few times. So when I say that Taqueria Mi Barrio is the best, I know what I'm talking about! Right off the bat, I was welcomed by Sergio - the owner. Talking to him, I learned that he was a chef for two decades before starting this venture. He cooks every order to perfection and his commitment to serving fresh, delectable food made with "life", as he puts it, is palpable in every bite. My recommendations? Definitely try the Al Pastor. Savor the Mulitas, which is like a miniature quesadilla but on a whole different level of yummy. And be sure to order the Campechanos Taco! So next time you find yourself shopping at HomeGoods, make sure to drop by this hidden taco treasure. Your taste buds will thank you, and your perceptions of street food will forever be altered. Kudos to Sergio and his amazing food! Top marks and can't wait to stuff my face again.

Taqueria Mi Barrio is a Mexican food truck in the parking lot of Michaels right in Interbay. It's easy to get to once you pull into the parking lot, with tons of parking parks since it's inside the shopping center lot. They have 2 tables outside under a covered spot. Their menu is a decent size, but prices are very high and portions are a bit on the smaller side for what you pay. The food itself is delicious, their carne asada burrito is really good. The staff here are friendly but it's kind of loud so it's hard to hear them sometimes. Overall if they dropped their prices like $2-$3 per item, it would be 5 stars.

We stopped by Taqueria Mi Barrio on a Monday afternoon and got an assortment of things - tacos al pastor, the special (tacos al alambre - beef, bacon, mozzerella, mushroom, onions), chicken tacos, mulitas, and some rice and beans. Everything was amazing - super fresh, reasonably priced, and meat that melted in your mouth. We especially loved the al pastor and alambre. We can’t wait to come back! (Before and after we demolished our food in the pics)

I wondered why people who recommended this spot to me wanted to gatekeep this place. After trying it, I totally see why. The food is amazing, and service is just as great. This is the REAL DEAL Mexican food - so flavorful, & prices are hard to beat. It is now our go-to spot. Be aware that online, the photos show multiple tacos/items in an order, however, when you order, you are ordering a single item. Likewise, the orders of sides are enough for 1 person, so order extra if you'll be sharing (or if you want extra, because the food...
