We stopped by the Jerk Shack for lunch and then strolled by this place and just popped in. Best decision of the day. The employees were engaging, helpful and informative. I rarely buy artisan lotions and candles and such but these products were calling my name. So fragrant and the lotion was luxurious. I splurged and can say I'm happy I did. I have yet to light my candle because it deodorizes the space with just the lid off. It's not overpowering the fragrance is just there. I love it. I loved the time I spent in their space and the items I purchased. As a tourist, I felt like that was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. Lunch at the Jerk Shack then a stroll to Arte Noir. ...

The grand opening was an Absolute SUCCESS and nothing short of amazing! The entire Arte Noir team was extremely friendly, personable and informative! I loved the distinguishing qualities Arte noir had to offer as well, down to the art work, the configuration of the building/design, the curation of black excellence and overall the welcoming and inviting atmosphere that you receive even though everyone is contributing to the congestion in the store because they are ready to make their purchases! It was a thrill to attend the formal launch of Arte Noir, described as a gathering place for the full expression of African and African American culture. I found it to be perfectly located in the heart of the traditional home of Seattle’s Black community.
