Edit: First let me say I really try to support local businesses. That said I'm not going to support a business that treats people like this. Second, our waitress was wonderful and attentive. Apparently the owner can not take constructive criticism, or admit there could ever be something wrong. Others have had the same issue. He claims I ruined his 5 star review, that's laughable, it never was 5 star. His response is juvenile at best. Lowering my rating for service because of this. Dear owner, if you want good reviews try being good. I had planned to give them a second chance at some point and possibly change my rating for the better, however since I'm no longer welcome there, no need to. Many people have told me this place is going down hill, and now I know why. Do better.

We ordered garlic bread as an appetizer since you don't even get bread with your fairly pricey meal. The bread was cold and seemed to have been sitting for a while and was a bit stale. We were very disappointed and it was definitely not worth the $6 we paid. Both my wife and I ordered the turkey dinner. Both of us agreed the mashed potatoes were over blended and pasty, dry and bland. The brown gravy was way over seasoned and too thick like it had been sitting and simmering for too long. The gravy on the turkey was some odd yellow stuff with a weird flavor we couldn't figure out but it definitely didn't pair well with the turkey. The turkey was ok, but a bit dry. We both felt that it would have been a better value if there was less food, but the quality was better. We probably won't return again...

We decided a change of pace was in order, so we drove down to Sebastian for dinner. We stopped at the Portside Pub and Grill. The front of the building seem empty as only two cars were in the parking lot. But entering, we found inside to be quite full. The restaurant has parking in a lot west of the building. We chose to sit outside, which on this warm but balmy evening was just right. We had iced teas and ordered the battered onion rings served with a horseradish dip as an appetizer. We both selected the Schnitzel dinner and both the appetizer and entrees we're generous portions. The onion ring batter was light and very tasty, made even more so with the dip. The tasty pork consisted of two pieces of pork tenderloin, nicely breaded and the pork and mashed potatoes were covered sufficiently with a brown gravy. We really enjoyed the red cabbage which added that nice acidic bite to the very filling meal. The drive south proved to be well worth the trip, and the Portside Pub and Grill will be on our list of places to revisit in the future. I've just got to try the bangers and mash. February of 2022 brings us back to another enjoyable meal. Broiled cod with potatoes and veggies hit the spot this evening. A cool evening made enjoyable with company sitting outside on the patio. We look forward to our next visit. If you haven't been to Portside Pub, I again heartily...

Out at the Art show in the Park and stopped in here for a drink and Lunch. The front row parking and the open style restaurant/ Pub were inviting. I asked the guest that was leaving "how was it?" and she said you must have the steak fries and brown English gravy. The English Pub Theme can be seen thru out the restaurant. The Bar and tables created a nice atmosphere for lunch in Sebastian. Mind you the food we ate far exceeded our expectations. The fresh English Tea and the fresh steamed shrimp cocktail ($1.00 each) made me very happy when the size 15 shrimp was combined with real "house made " cocktail sauce. The fresh fried chicken fillets and coleslaw was amazing and flavorful. My wife had the fresh Catfish Fillet and steak fries with brown gravy....amazing. The owner/ Chef is a true professional, the kitchen is on top of the orders and the food flow is smooth. The true beer batter had crunch, a true vanilla color and that only found in England texture. Even the plate /basket had a newspaper printed parchment bottom to add to the dish. The menu has fresh only items and next time we will wait till 3pm to eat the slow roasted Prime Rib and it's fixings. I have found our new "GO TO PLACE" in Sebastian. Chef: Thankyou for the "HOME RUN" lunch. Always Best...

We ended up here for nice covered spot where we could bring our pup since she was out and about with us today. We started at Mulligan’s across the street but were sent away because dogs not allowed (even though Google search said yes as to dog friendly). We were so pleased with Portside. Excellent coverage for frontside outside dining as we saw a looming cloud headed our way. Great coverage kept us dry. The menu had so many excellent choices and specials it was hard to choose. I ended up with etouffee with scallops and was flavorful and delicious! My husband had the snitzel. The portions were huge. I definitely had leftovers. Even greater was the service! Sandy was so incredible taking quality care of our dining experience ensuring we stayed dry and comfortable when the rain shower poured. She also took the best concern for our pup bringing her a bowl of ice water, dog biscuit (broke it up for her since she’s a tiny girl with not so great teeth), and she never complained of stepping over her leash since we gave her (pup) lots slack. I could not have been happier with the meal or service. Thank you, Sandy, for being most incredible!

Over priced, disappointing food. The Shepard’s Pie was the texture and flavor of meatloaf. The cheese on top seemed like microwave melted Kraft slices and the gravy tasted canned. The vegetables in my mother’s seafood dish were cleared from a frozen bag of mixed veggies. The shrimp in her dish also looks like it was frozen. This pseudo Shepard’s Pie is most definitely not worth $16. I’m giving it two stars rather than one as our server was delightful and attentive. If you’re willing to pay these prices, I’d go the the Chill & Grill and actually get the quality you’re seeking.
