Mombo’s Pizza — Restaurant in Sebastopol

Usually everything is ok, as I have been here before and had a good experience. This time I ordered pasta shells tonight (Tuesday) at 8:20 pm to be picked up at 8:50. I got there a few minutes early and they told me my order wasn't registered. At first of envy of the employee told me I could have as many pizzeria slices as I wanted to cover me order, a nice offer, but I wanted what I ordered. A nice man wearing a black shirt, whom I can only assume to be the manager as he was the only source of order in the entire establishment, told me that they would have what I ordered ready in 10 minutes, which just happenned to be closing time.

The employee who had to make my order was the same one offering me pizza slices instead of what I ordered. He complained more than I wanted to hear to the manager about different things. It seemed he wasn't happy about making my order. When he gave me my order he was touching it right after handling a filthy rag and winded spray. He told me to hold it form the side because it is hot. I have gotten home and now that I actually feel my pasta shells they are quite cold. I have had to put them in the oven for 30 minutes and because I do not have a professional oven like mombos, my food cake out dry on top. All I can say is I am quite dissatisfied l, specifically with that particular employee and whoever failed to record my order...

Mombos is my family's favorite pizza in town! My uncles, aunts, cousins, and immediate family love their thin crust New York style pizza. Being born and raised in NYC, they should know good pizza. We ordered two JUMBO pizzas for my cousin's 22nd birthday. One plain pizza which everyone loves. And a half veggie/half pepperoni pizza for those that like meat or some goodies on top. The pizzeria here has nice people who work here, and it's clean and they make their pizzas on time for pick-up. They also use DoorDash to deliver to your home. Mombos has another location in Santa Rosa near the SRJC that is popular. They also have a variety of specials. I printed a coupon online for a discount on our order. Changing my rating to 2 stars after ordering a calzone from them. Absolutely disgusting. I ordered it with pepperoni, basil, garlic and black olives. It would have been good but it was packed with this mushy,crumbly cheese like ricotta or cottage cheese or something nasty. I tried to scrape as much cheese out with my finger or a fork but it was pretty futile. On top of all that, the "pizza sauce" supplied for dipping still had a biter wine taste to it like they hadn't finished cooking it out or something. It was very disappointing for mombos because I was very fond of them. They should say that they use a different type of cheese in the calzones than on the pizzas because it was quite the unpleasant discovery/experience and made me deeply regret giving them money for that.
