We dine here from time to time, id call it a decent place. We are locals, Ive met Don a few times, its always the same joke/laugh bc my name is Don too. We were planning on getting some burgers tonight, it just wasnt time for us to eat, we were attending a Halloween event in the area. I decided to choose this place to get my 2yo daughter out of her wet diaper bc I knew it was a local joint and like I said, we planned on ordering food. It was dark outside and the port-o-potty's were pitch black, it scared my daughter. I was running out of options, I needed a hand. I cant stand to be treated good when im dining there, but if I need to change my daughters diaper, im turned away. I get it, people trash your bathrooms, maybe they leave dirty diapers in the trash (Thats disgusting and I would never) it was a big event, no changing table (she stands, but whatever) no public access/customers only... But for a guy holding a diaper and one wipe coming directly to you, the owner, for help... In all, It all worked out. The local smoothie shop down the street told me that anytime I needed a helping hand, they would be there for me. The smoothie was delicious, my daughter wasn't asking for a new diaper, and I had won as a parent. A great quote is "Have more respect for the moral than for the rule". Policy is Policy, reviews...
Read moreWas this place on tv. Yes. Are the burgers good. Low bar, but yes. If those are the best only things that are important to you. This could be your spot. If you value your time, and a server that can assist in both food and drink, this is not the place. Sat outside because one guy and a guitar was putting everyone to sleep. Downside to being outside is we got to smell diesel fuel the whole time. Non stop commercial vehicle traffic on this road makes me wonder why anyone would build whatever this is here. Poor planning. if you like watching busses of citrus workers go by this is a great place I guess. You also get audio confusion between the music at this location and the music being blasted in the center of a traffic circle. Not all of this is the 301 fault. I'm not a fan of the food showing up and servers just randomly shouting out dish names. But I'm also not a fan of having a to use my phone to see a menu or place a food order. I'm not sure what this restaurant/ bar thinks it is. Seems confused identity wise, not good at drinks. Vodka...
Read moreI like it here, great vibe with local Florida people. As a natural halfway point between my friend in Fort Myers and myself in Orlando, it seemed like a fantastic place to chill out far from the busyness of both of our respective cities. The people are quite welcoming, the bartender made our drinks to liking: 7UP and Floridian lemon vodka, which was nice and refreshing and delicious. I enjoyed the flavor, I dont normally drink that often, so it was a fantastic treat
The food and bar are separate establishments, but the food was cooked well to my liking. Sort of basic/simple, but good and not overpriced. Like something you'd eat with your mates while having a good time. Pizza was like $6, drink was $9, so you can come away from this little joint with your wallet and stomach equally happy. Overall this place earns 5 stars as it's a wonderful Florida business with an industrial feel that feels as timeless as Sebring and Old Florida itself. I am definitely coming back time and time again and I wish this business great success in the...
