The first time we came we had a great experience and that's why we came back. The caldo and cowboy fajita was good, (even though theybused canned mushrooms?) the service was OK and the price was great. Although the large party next to us was upset bc out absent-minded waiter was also their waiter and he kept messing something up.
The second time we went it was a completely different experience.
To start this off the waitress and management (or I think he is management) were VERY helpful and apologetic. I tipped the waitress after this whole ordeal I'm about to explain bc she was kind and prompt. . She wasnt even really our waitress. She was helping out our original guy who I didn't even realize was our waiter. The manager guy seemed genuinely upset.
1.) The metal drinking cup my friend got was wobbling. The bottom was bent somehow and wouldn't sit flat. No big deal. It happens. My plate had a huge chunk of the corner chipped off the plate. Again.. it's not a huge deal but adds to the frustration
2.) I was poking at the sour cream blob on my plate (got the nachos supreme and the chicken tastes great) bc it was hard in the middle. My chip wouldn't go thru it. My FORK could barely pierce thru. You know how old sour cream has the dehydrated chunks on the side of the tub? This was a hardened gummy sour cream chunk in the middle of soft sour cream.
I was about to let it go but on that chunk... I found a hair. Wasn't my friends hair or mine. I had UNCOVERED it within the sour cream.
I presented it to my waitress and she immediately was like "oh wow, I'm so sorry. Let's take care of it."
I thought there was ANOTHER hair in the rice on my new plate but I can't confirm. It was so short it seemed like either a eyelash or a part of the rice? I can't be sure either way.. I couldn't finish the meal
Give that girl a raise. Give that manager a raise. Considering what happened they did everything to make things right.
3.) The shrimp on my friends plate was hard and rubbery. Not like the shrimp we ate a week ago. He was so hungry he ate them anyway
4.) The refried beans tasted sour. It tasted way different than a week ago. I got a remake of the nachos that had a hair in it. The refried beans on that tasted sour too. They tasted like they went bad.
Over all it was a bad experience concerning the food which is a complete switch from eating there a week ago.
Staff was great. Food is not as good as it was a week ago.
I am willing to change my rating with another visit. Everyone has a bad day.
Hope...
Read more1st time going there for me & my husband. IF you go there sit in Area where Ariana is your Wautress. BEST Waitress Ever! She is the ONLY Thing we liked about the Restaurant! My husband had the Beef Fajitas. While they were cooked okay, they had an overwhelming flavor of Liquor. Different to say the least. The Tortillas are limited, so he had to Order 2 More Tortillas. I got a Plate with a Chalupe, Rice & Beans. As I went to pu the Chalupe to eat it, it fell apart LIMPY on my plate where I couldn't even pick it up. It was MUSH!! The rice is okay, but not any I would order again. I basically put some beans in a Tortilla and that was my meal. The Tortillas aren't that big, so I Ordered 2 more Tortillas to have with the beans. That was my Dinner. The MOST Shocking Part of this Restaurant is the Fact that they Charge $1.99 PER TORTILLA! UNBELIEVABLE!! So, for our Tortillas, we Paid $8 EXTRA DOLLARS! Abd a Soda is $5 each! This is SEGUIN! This Place is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE & The FOOD ISN'T ANYTHING We would eat again! South of the BORDER flavors with VERY DARK SAUCES & SPICE FLAVORINGS!! I'll take LOLA'S ANY DAY...
Read moreWe ate there last night and it wasn’t a good experience. It took 45 minutes to get our food. I had the number five dinner and the chalupa was wet and soggy with no visible beans, just a smear of something under the lettuce. I used some of the chips to sort of make my own chalupa. The cheese enchilada was the weirdest I’ve ever eaten! It had some kind of spice that kind of reminded me of nutmeg. I tried to find out what it was but the cooks just said that’s the way they always make it and maybe they had put too much of whatever in. So I guess they didn’t think there was anything strange or different from the norm about their choice of ingredients. The rice and beans were ok. My husband had the enchilada plate with tomatillo sauce and said it was fair but not very flavorful. He ordered boracho beans and they weren’t seasoned at all and not cooked enough. The chips and salsa were the highlight of the meal but I’ve definitely had better salsa. We’ve been anxiously awaiting their opening and hated that it was such a bad experience. Our waitress did the best she could but I don’t think...
