You know , when you go somewhere for the first time, it really matters how the staff will treat the customers. I was visiting from San Antonio, and I need to buy flowers. I looked at the selection and decided what I wanted. When I went to the floral counter I made eye yo eye contact with the employee, and nothing came out of the woman's mouth. No... "How can I help you", " Did you need something?", nothing just a stare. So I asked her if I could have this wrap to put around the flowers. She grabbed the bucket that had them and I picked out the 1 I wanted, then she asked me if that's all I wanted, I said yes. She said ok, and printed out a tag for it, $2.00 for a piece of square wrap for flowers, and on top of that she stapled all of them in the middle, which tore my wrap as I tried to remove it. Oh, and the worst, insulting part. I was asked by her to leave the plastic at her counter till I came back with the receipt to pick it up! I was so offended. Which is rare. I ask her also if she would arrange my flowers and she said they charge extra. I didn't want a vase, or box or anything, just for her to throw the flowers into the wrap and tie it so it would be ready to go, since I was going to my daughter's ballet performance. I couldn't go back home, so after all of this I had to put the flowers together in the backseat of my car. This HEB is definitely not MY HEB. Because my HEB would have never charged me for a piece of wrap for $2!!! And then make me bring my receipt to show payment before I take it! What kind of crimes are going on in Seguin where they have to hold on to a plastic wrap! And I have had my HEB arrange my flowers in 30 seconds because they have the scissors, ties to make the bunch. And was not charged a dime. I just couldn't believe how rude she was, and the fact that I had to buy a $2 piece of plastic wrap , 1 sheet that WAS STAPLED! I attached pictures. At the end, is the flowers wrapped in that $2 torn wrap. I hope that the manager of this HEB talks to this woman. And possibly changes some things so they can do some catering to...
Read moreThe past few months the "fresh" produce has been trash. I bought red bell peppers on June 4th, they felt okay, but they did have what I thought was dust on them; all of the ones they had out were like that. Some were terrible and even squishy. After washing them the next day, and cutting into them, they had mold inside. MOLD!!! Apparently what I thought was some kind of dust, must have actually been mold. This also happens, A LOT, with the avocados. They leave the squishy ones out for us to buy. I do mean squishy. Why do y'all think it's okay to leave these unsafe products on the shelves for consumers!?!? Are y'all, yourselves, buying this crap and taking it home to your families? Doubtful. And the bananas!!! I'll buy them green, and within two days they're mush. Maybe that's not completely on HEB, but let's get together. I make a weekly list of dinner plans, which helps me create my grocery list, and every single week I need to make sudden changes to the list while shopping. They're always out of something in the meat department. We drove to LaVernia yesterday, and stopped at the HEB there. It seems so much better than Seguin. Even though it's a drive for me, I'm going to check it out and see if they treat their town any better. It seems like Seguin HEB doesn't care as much anymore. With all that said, I do have to give most of the employees ââââ because they are still quite friendly and very helpful. For some reason I'm unable to add photos to show the terrible selection with the "fresh" produce y'all are selling. I do have them on my phone though, if...
Read moreOn Saturday, February 1st, I went there to purchase some Jalapeño Poppers and it wasn't until I got home that I realized they had MOLD growing on them. Checked the date just to make sure that they were not expired and the label said that they were still marked as fresh. Hey, mistakes happen, I'll take it back, get some fresh ones and we're square. Went to the service counter, let them know about the issue and the employee let me know If I was able to find one without mold, I could take that or get a refund. A weird response, but whatever, sure. I go back to the cooler where the Jalapeño poppers are at and found THREE more products with mold. Now, I have a very high tolerance for this stuff, but I could imagine someone else would be verklempt over this. I find a fresh package of Jalapeño Poppers and as a courtesy, I go back to the service counter to let them know that I found a fresh package and to let them know they had a few products with mold. Unsurprisingly, they didn't seem to care and I even had to PAY the difference since the new package I was getting cost 22 cents more. I'm not the type of person to crash out over 22 cents, but I was pretty annoyed. In short, I found mold on a product I purchased that same day, took it back, found mold on others, found a fresh package and still had to pay for it along with an extra 22 cents. It's so absurd I find it humorous. Can't expect much from minimum wage employees without a modicum of concern or urgency. Hopefully, they were able to rectify this issue, even if it was done in a...
