I will not return. After being seated, and drink orders taken, we sat for about 15 minutes...then someone finally asked if we had been helped. We then gave our order. Then, we waited and waited, and finally had to asked for our chips and salsa. Once our drinks were empty, they stayed empty....even though we lined them up at the end of our table. We had to hunt down someone to fill them, TWICE. We finally got our food. Then we waited, and AGAIN, had to hunt someone down for the tortillas that come with our meals. So, now we are ready to eat....and then my daughter bites into her Fauta's and there is not one but THREE inch long bones in her meat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried to down play it for her sake, but now I am grossed out. I had the chicken enchilladas...and now I am hunting for bones. I really expect more for a meal that is $8.50. Our waiter--I guess realizing he needed to try and salvage his tip--told us he wasn't going to charge us for our drinks. Nice try. He was only aware of the poor service, HIS poor service. I took our bill to the cashier, and she asked about our meal, and I told her that it was really awful. Not only did we have to darn near beg to get waited on, there were full bones in the flautas. She said, sorry, as she charged me full for all meals. That's ok, I just won't be going back. I am way to grossed out to even think about it. Ewww. I will not make this mistake again. Just awful service, and the food really wasn't good even...
Read moreA few years ago we came here on our way to the Renaissance Festival in Houston. Heading out to Seguin we gave it a go again since we liked it. Lunch was much busier compared to a Friday late afternoon dinner like we did back then. The service was sometimes a little slow, but considering how many people were there, how busy they were and also how it seemed to have few staff covering all of it, it was appropriate. Chips and salsa were fresh and the salsa had a great flavor and solid kick that crept up on you. Queso was good, though having been on more of a diet for a while the same cravings and tastes have changed so not as much was eaten (the small is likely plenty for 2-3 people). I got chicken and cheese enchiladas with their Verde and original sauces and preferred the Verde much better. The original sauce reminded me of the kind you had in school, which I never cared for. The Verde was excellent and had good flavor without a lot of heat. Wife got chalupas which were good and she ordered a side of guacamole that originally didn't come to the table but was corrected when we asked again. Mother in law got tacos which she enjoyed as well.
Overall the food was good, hot, and fresh. Service was what you'd expect for a busy lunch hour and a little crazy, so again, understandable. We'll be back next time we head that way, unless we're not...
Read moreMy grandmother went to this restaurant today and found a huge piece of plastic in her caldo. When she brought it up to the server, the server, Oraila, was very apologetic and understanding. However, the manager wasn't. The manager on duty was very rude and unprofessional. The waitress told my grandmother that she wouldn't be charged for her soup for the inconvenience. My grandmother felt sick to her stomach so she didn't even finish her food after finding the plastic in her meal. She asked Oraila if she would take the pieces of meat home to feed to her cats, and Oraila said it would be no problem whatsoever. However, the manager came over and threw a fit and was saying "Oh no, you are not allowed to take that home. The cats will get sick." So basically what the manager is implying is that it's okay for my grandmother to eat the caldo and possibly get sick but not her cats? Very unprofessional and horrible customer service experience. This business is lucky it wasn't a child that swallowed that plastic and started choking. I don't know that mangers name but she needs to take a step back and try and understand things from a paying customers point of view. We will not be back to this restaurant and they will not get our...
