IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, DO NOT EAT AT LISA’S CREPERIE. Today, I spent several minutes speaking directly to the manager about my and my son’s food allergies (dairy, egg, soy, peanuts, tree nuts). I was assured that the vegan crepe would be safe for me, as it’s made of coconut milk and coconut powder. I requested regular turkey and bacon on it, as well as a few other toppings. Again, I was explicitly assured this would be safe for me. We waited 30 minutes and then I was handed the bag directly by the manager. I started eating my meal in the car and noticed something was a bit odd. Called the restaurant, and lo and behold: I was served vegan turkey, not regular turkey and bacon. I asked what the vegan turkey is made of and was told “it’s plant-based.” I prodded more and found that the turkey is literally SOY. I did my due diligence and discussed my needs at length and was assured I would be safe. Now I am dealing with an allergic reaction and my breastfed son will be dealing with intense GI distress as it works through our systems. This is absolutely unacceptable and DANGEROUS. So please, if you have any food allergies, do not put your trust in...
Read moreWalking in, you're greeted with warm delicious smells and fragrant coffee. Be prepared to wait in line because there's usually a line. There are a few tables inside, and a few outside, but they are usually taken unless you arrive early or at the perfect timing when someone is finishing up.
The food is really good. They have VEGAN and GF options, but you'll have to ask about what's GF since it's not on their main menu. As far as VEGAN, I'm not sure what brand of meats they have, but their VEGAN cheese is DIAYA.
They also make kids sizes on several of the crepes, but if your kids are like mine, it's better to get 2 regular sizes and then they can split them.
After you order, you'll have to wait bc they make all their crepes to order.
Their coffee selection is pretty vast. I tried a vanilla latte and it was super rich. I ended up getting sick bc it was way richer than I thought. (Don't get me wrong, it was really good! I just can't handle super rich coffee anymore.)
Overall, I really enjoy the food and coffee. I will definitely make it back soon. If you are celiac, make sure...
Read moreI live nearby and was a relatively frequent customer, but it’s expensive and it’s a treat for special occasions. Yesterday I took my son who is home from college and there are a lot of trainees from the cashier to the kitchen to the food runners. So our order was entered wrong, made wrong and delivered wrong (we got someone else’s food). We weren’t going to complain… we just figured we’d eat and deal with mediocrity but then the manager came out to apologize and the biggest problem I had is that I’d ordered the keto batter (which is an up charge) and when I got the wrong food… that kicked me out of ketosis which I do for medical reasons. I told her I spent nearly $50 on breakfast to have been served the wrong food that wasn’t on my diet and she didn’t even offer to compensate me in any way. Well, I can sympathize with having a lot of trainees but I’m not returning to this restaurant for their really lack of how to deal with customers. Why else would I pay so much for a dining experience than wanting good service??? Pretty sad. Enjoy the 20% tip I left at the cash register...
