I don’t normally write reviews—I mean, who has time when every product, service, and interaction solicits feedback and most don’t warrant high praise or critique?
I’m making an exception for Senoia Coffee and Cafe.
My wife and I stopped in just to get a quick coffee; she had an iced caramel macchiato and I had a cappuccino. Several items on the menu caught our eye, however, so we ordered lunch along with the drinks.
I’m not a food critic or expert, so I’m sure I lack the words to properly describe the experience; suffice it to say, it was EXCELLENT.
My wife ordered the Brie Grilled Cheese. Chili Fig jam, black peppered bacon, melted Brie. I think it was on sourdough but I don’t have the menu in front of me. Folks, that sandwich was amazing. I was a little wary at first, thinking the chili and black pepper might be a little too much, but at the risk of sounding pretentious it was the perfect amount of heat: warming and rich without burning or overwhelming the rest of the flavors.
I ordered the lemon basil chicken salad on a toasted croissant with lettuce from the nearby local Alo Farms. It was light and fresh and delicious. We enjoyed both sandwiches so much that we took turns passing them back and forth until they were gone.
The drinks were just as good. The iced caramel macchiato was nicely balanced; it wasn’t cloying at all, and the sweetness didn’t overwhelm the coffee. The cappuccino was spot on, not too much or too little foam.
The service was friendly and quick even though the Mess Hall was very crowded.
I think my only complain is that I’ll have such a difficult time trying to decide what to get next...
Read moreI have enjoyed Senioa Coffee Shop for many years and today was no different. I love the new space And the vibe. Coffee was delicious as always and the chicken salad croissant was amazing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only issue is with their closing early routine. I realize it's posted on the door. But when the staff starts stacking chairs on tables and stools on the countertops while patrons are still eating and ordering things it's a bit disheartening. I saw one man trying to reach around stools on the counter right in front of the coffee machine which I feel was just unreasonable. It's one thing to maybe make an announcement and let everyone know you are closing in 30 minutes but it's just kinda rude to start stacking chairs on tables and turning lights off while people are still standing at the counter getting coffee! I am a Retail Manager for over 30 years and I recognize we all have a closing time, but I would never start turning off lights and packing things up while customers are still in the store. And I sure would be very upset if I found out any of my associates did that when I wasn't there! Not very good for customer service. I do not believe that these associates have to rush out the door at 3pm on the dot! I have never worked anywhere that we didn't give a 30 minute closing routine after the actual closing time. So I guess I'm just asking that next time maybe think about how that would make YOU feel as a parton in an establishment at...
Read moreI don't have enough good things to say about Senoia Coffee. The coffee is fantastic, the food is delicious, but most importantly everyone who works there is an amazing human being. My wife and I go in pretty regularly and they're like a second family to us. Obviously there are times when they get busy and might run a little slower, but that isn't too often and it means they're doing good enough business to stay busy! It would be pretty petty to get mad about "slow service" at a local business due to their popularity. I would wait half an hour for one of their coffees before I'd go to some chain store with a drive thru.
Without a doubt, Senoia coffee is my favorite thing about the town since moving here a few years ago. If humans ever invent teleporters I really just want one that opens into Senoia Coffee so I can get there from my...
