I visited this restaurant for the first time this past week. The food was great, but the owners did something very kind. As I entered, 4 Black kids (12 - 14 yrs) entered ahead of me. The lady behind the counter fist bumped one of the kids before taking their order. From their conversation the teens lived in the neighborhood and often came there for pizza. The teens got a table an were joyfully laughing and joking. As I went to seat behind them one of the teens said "it's my birthday and what have y'all done for me." One of them said jokingly, I let you come over my house and they all started laughing. Then the birthday teen went to the counter and got some napkins, then went to the trash can and was cleaning something off of it. I asked why are you cleaning the trash can? He said I made a mistake and spit on it instead of in it, and people never clean up after themselves!!! I said thank you and make sure you wash your hands before you eat. He said yes, and as he was going to wash his hands, he turned back to the group and said come wash y'all hands. They all got up and washed their hands. The Prino's owners are watching all of this. Their pizza was ready, the Birthday teen blessed the food, they ate, cleared table and were about to leave. Then, one of the teens went to the counter and told one of the owners that today was his friend's birthday. She called him to the counter, then asked him to step outside. She asked the others to pick a dessert. She lit a candle on it. They brought him back in with is eyes closed, presented him with the dessert and everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday! To end it all, friend's will be friend's, they picked the dessert they liked. He didn't eat any of it. He was just happy to be sharing his birthday with his buddies. They thanked the restaurant owners, said see later sir ,to me, gave each other dap, said I'll see you tomorrow and headed home on their bikes and electric scooters. Prino's, thank you for being so kind to these Black teenagers. They are too often looked at in a negative way. Whoever their parents are, you are raising...
Read moreMy family has visited Prino's many times after we discovered the restaurant by using them to cater an event. The food is very good; the service at its best could be better and is sometimes aggressively rude.
For a mild note on service, not that Prino's is unique in this regard, but considering there is no service for dine-in patrons (i.e., you pick up your food, bus your table, and get your drinks), the cashier machine should not prompt patrons for a tip.
For a more unfortunate note on service, I have had a series of recent visits where the younger women at the front have been incredibly rude. Once I got takeout and when I got home 20 minutes away, I noticed they had forgot to put in several items from the order (yes I should have checked but it was a large order). When I returned to the restaurant about 45 minutes after initially picking up the order to get the forgotten items, the girl didn't apologize at all and just handed me what they forgot.
More recently, on August 15th (making a note of the date for management's benefit), my mother and I visited. My mother's usual mediterranean restaurant in her hometown has food from a variety of cuisines in that region. As a result, she was trying to get more information on Prino's offerings. The girl was so rude to my mother and me. For example, when we asked a question about the difference between schawarma and gyro, she would pause, impatiently exhale, and give us a hostile look before answering with something like "it's all the same meat" with no other explanation. We're two gals from Florida, and might not understand the nuances of different mediterranean cuisines. That's an opportunity to educate us and help us, not roll your eyes at us.
In short, the food is pretty good, but not good enough to feel pressured to tip 20% to do your own bussing and to get...
Read moreSoooo I went there on 2/14/25… order salmon and lamb chops! Salmon was a 6/10 lamb chops were not done ! However , I called and explained and then told them it took me over 30 mins to get there so I wasn’t driving back! So they offered a refund for the lamb chops and I still haven’t received it! Been back and forth with the manager(lady) and she clearly is clueless because she decides to give me their credit card processing company number and told me to ask them for the refund…. HOW ?! I called today just for the lady on the phone to tell me she wasn’t the one who refunded me and for me to call my bank and tell them I never got the refund and then said “bye” and hung up! The store manager or owner is never there ( which I can tell due to the lack of intelligence ) the staff he has in there is going to run that place into hell and fast! I WANT MY REFUND ! Is that so hard ? Maybe since I can never get him on the phone hopefully he sees this and call me back !
I added the receipt… total amount still say $58… please explain how you can process a refund and the total amount still says $58.
&& the fact that you decided to respond to the review and not reach out is CRAZYYYYY . Will never patronize this business or any sister business of yours! Just ridiculous!
