Squisito Pizza and Pasta - Severna Park — Restaurant in Severna Park

I saw most of the pizzas being over-cooked to the point of burnt crust. I politely asked them to make my pizza with lightly cooked crust, not over-cooked. They burnt my crust too!!! I watched them pull the pizzas out of the top oven and look at the crust. All the crusts I saw looked golden brown at that point. Then they would transfer them to the bottom oven and over-cook them. Bizzare!!!! It's peculiar that all the pizzas on display that were being sold by the slice had nice golden brown crusts. I haven't been there in about a year after numerous mediocre pizzas week after week. We switched to Bella Italian and we've been getting good pizzas most of the time until last week. We gave Squisito another try and they failed miserably. Now I know why we stopped going there in the 1st place. It appears that they get too busy to keep up with their pizzas cooking. There's only enough room back there for one guy to make the pizzas and one guy to manage the cooking of the pizzas. If you like over-cooked no-taste pizza crust this is your place. Nothing personal. Made my friends and I extremely ill. We ordered the Cheese Steak, 2x Cold Cuts, and Tiramisu. Within an hour everyone was fighting for the bathroom. Even this morning we are all still stick to our stomachs. I personally had the Tiramisu but within about 10 minutes of eating it I was violently ill. Health and cleanliness should be a top priority for restaurants. Several reviews on Yelp indicate customers having had stomach issues, being disgusted with the restaurants interior cleanliness, and more importantly ROACHES. The reviews that included mentioning roaches cited that others said it was “not abnormal” to see roaches. Roaches crawling out of to go boxes, etc. Its disgusting to read or to think about why we are all sick now. The restaurant instead of addressing the issue of roaches just accused customers of having dated or too “general” or “non specific” reviews. Step up or step out. I would rate this place every time we come if allowed to. This is the Baltimore Annapolis blvd location: My wife and I come here about 2x a month and have, let me say this clearly... NEVER had a bad meal/experience here. I usually get the seafood pasta w/ the garlic bread (I could eat that for a meal in itself) and my wife gets one of the specialty salads. I like the fact that you walk in, order what you want, pay, sit down and then the server brings you your order. I've been out to eat too many times (just last Thursday) where the server messed up our order and we ended up not having a great dining experience. I also appreciate the kitchen staff who will allow you to customize your order - switching penne for linguini for example - so you always get exactly what you want.
