To my fellow colored humans please take a moment to read this before visiting this establishment. My self, daughter and son went into this store looming for our newborn nephew’s first jellycat. After immediate entrance we were met with unfriendly looks and an unwelcoming tone. I ignored it as I was on the hunt for my nephew. We proceeded to the back left corner where the baby items and jelly cats are. We were there looking around for about 3 minutes when I looked up one of the white employees was watching my 5 year old son look at the jelly cats and books. She was “sweeping” mind you she had not taken her eyes off my son and16 yr old daughter. We made our way over to the card and were met with the same employee still “sweeping “ while keeping her eyes on us. Please know you are not welcomed here if you are of color. I bought a wallet for my Mother & took it back because my Mother could not use the wallet. She's 80 and struggles with the use (strength) of her hands. The clerk was reluctant to do the return & wanted to see if my Mother's complaint with the wallet was viable. Really? She then said that part of the tag was missing & even though I had the receipt she needed to speak to a manager. A manager came out-never introducing herself & proceeded to say she didn't see a problem with the wallet & commented about the partial tag, but reluctantly​ returned my money. i came to maryland from washington state just for a quick vacation and when i went to visit the little town my brother and i just wandered into this little shop. the woman working there was so polite and helpful, she helped recommend items that she thought would look good and suit me. i think it was a beautiful little shop and next time i come to maryland i’ll definitely be back to see the cool new things they have! 10/10 would recommend even a step inside! thank you to the people who own, work and manage. i appreciates all...
