Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Seymour

I was here last year when in town for a baseball trip and it was excellent. I was back in town for baseball again and had to stop by. Everyone on the team went to another place in town after our last game Saturday. I decided to go alone to Chili's because I don't eat animals and I know Chili's makes a fire vegetarian fajita (although very expensive).

My server was excellent. I ordered a fajita without meat and she rang it up differently so it wasn't just the $20 chicken fajita, minus chicken. That has never happened for me but was super nice! She also asked if I wanted asparagus and broccoli which I went for. I also had a short Modelo and large guacamole (basically the protein for fajita).

The beer was delicious and the fajita was absolutely perfect! I can get a really good fajita at my favorite Mexican restaurant for $10, I have to be choosy because most Mexican restaurants cook vegetables alongside the meat and it ends up in my food. My fav spot does not do that and they're the only ones I trust. However, literally never an issue with Chili's because they don't cook the two together.

I missed the live band at the restaurant the rest of the team was at. But I did make it back before my wife got her veggie wrap. Not a knock on that place, they were great, but I'm glad I went solo to Chili's for the fajita. I did make it back to hang out with the team for about an hour.

This is a great Chili's, one of my favorites I've been to. I really appreciate the service and making my food how I asked. I know it's annoying when I order at most places but always appreciate the places that care....

Management and staff not as attentive to customers as they could/should be. Have been here on 3 different visits, so irked by the overall experience each of those times, especially the management staff that I have opted to NOT dine there anymore for awhile. A cocktail that was made so poorly I sent it back and got attitude for it, a poor quality and presentation of my dinner that I informed the management and got an excuse NOT a resolution or apology, another time waited 30 minutes to get seated when they were not busy, we were told they were short staffed, and then after getting seated, waited another 20-30 minutes for a wait staff person to ask us what we wanted, to which I replied "attentive service, and a warm and friendly environment" afterword, I then left. Management on hand stated that they were having staffing issues. However; she also offered no resolution or apology. I have dined elsewhere ever since, especially after 3 unsatisfactory visits there, for which I hold the management staff responsible for. UPDATE: WE HAD THE BEST SERVICE TONIGHT!!!!!! I believe our waitress name was Maria. She was so on it I didn't even have to ask for anything. Drinks refilled before I finished the 1st. Food brought out promptly and looked amazing. Even swapped out our child's small drink to a regilar size automatically. We had a small debacle with the payment kiosk not giving Maria her tip so we left to get cash and came back. We will be asking for her to be our waitress the next time we come. Management, make sure you keep her around and all your amazing staff! I was flabbergasted at how well our waitress did. Thanks again for always taking care of us!
