First Street Apizza — Restaurant in Seymour

What can I say? I am addicted to their The Works pizza. Their menu offers toppings I consider weird, but this combination is strictly main stream. I can't tell you just what they do to make it so very, very good, but I rarely order anything else. They don't just pile on a bunch of stuff, this pie has balance; plenty of toppings but nothing overwhelms anything else. My wife loves The Works too, but will occasionally get one of their clam pies for variety. Their basic cheese pizza is fine too, and that is my own alternative, particularly during the hours of their lunch special. I can't say anything about their delivery service as I always pick it up myself. The staff is always friendly.

And man, The Works is just so good!

I ordered from here a year ago -- calamari -- and it was so disgusting that I returned it. They gave me a $10 credit that I never used.

I live down the road, and about two years later I decided to give them another shot. I figured that it was my fault for ordering seafood at a pizza place. I ordered a cheeseburger club (no bacon). On their menu, there were many wing options (BBQ, Teriyaki, Mild, etc), so I ordered mild wings.

Mild wings = buffalo wings, which I don't like. The cheeseburger was pink inside and it came with bacon. I called, they offered a refund. But honestly, I didn't want a refund when I went there -- I wanted lunch.

There's plenty of pizza places around the area -- some of which haven't messed up an order for me in four years and have lots of parking. I can't see myself going to this...

Technically 4.5 stars. I ordered for delivery Today (1/17) one pizza and some wings. Pepperoni was delivered hot and surprisingly not too oily which I can be particular about. I don’t remember having a delivered pizza taste this good. The hot wings were just hot enough to get a bead of sweat on the forehead yet still had flavor. The only reason I put 4.5 was the blue cheese was a store bought packet but I shouldn’t let that ruin my positive experience and subsequent review. I’ll be returning. As far as the one star review from the young woman on the site I don’t understand, I did come into contact with the delivery driver and and he was properly wearing a mask. That is until I asked him to remove it so he could cough in face repeatedly, as is customary in my house. Like I said, I’ll...
