Wow! I can’t say better things about The Shaker Heights Country Club! At over 107 years old, it is one of the oldest clubs in Ohio set in picturesque Shaker Heights. Designed by the legendary Donald Ross in 1913, it’s a true tale of two 9’s. The front lends itself to be more open than the back. A small stream comes into play on several holes. Challenging, however immensely well cared for greens (watch out for the occasional false front) are pristinely rolled. A real treat is crossing over Torrington Road after your 13th & 15th holes. The short number 16 gives you a great opportunity for a hole-in-one. After your round, enjoy the beautiful patio, clubhouse, or the newly renovated pool facility. Stevie at the bar is a gem and Chef Chris is doing a good job with his reshaped menu. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to have our wedding here. We got married September 20th and for doing this once, it became the best without practice. After searching through so many venues, and meeting so many different people, I was so happy to meet Annie. If you want an easy wedding venue with no stress, beautiful views and good food then go to the Shaker Heights Country Club. I played there a few times, as part of an invite from a past GM, Andrew Tuzzeo. He could not have been more kind and welcoming as well as his staff. The course conditions were immaculate. I don't think I'll ever have the opportunity to play there again, as I live out of state and never back home. I sure do miss Shaker and the community that I grew up in. I wish the club...
