Bahama Sno Shack — Restaurant in Shamokin

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this time I had to. We stopped in and ordered two large dishes of ice cream. I handed the cashier a $20 bill, and when I saw the receipt, it showed $16—yet I only got $2 back. I figured, “Oh well, $2 for a tip, no big deal.” Then we got our ice cream, and let me tell you—there was barely anything to it. At $8 per serving, it was no better than Turkey Hill ice cream, which I could have gotten two half-gallons of for just $6 and change. Honestly, that’s highway robbery. If I could do it over, I’d hand the ice cream right back and say, “Nope, give me my money back.” But hey, that’s how it went. And no—I’m not making this up. I’ve got witnesses!

Bottom line?...

Thank you to Marilyn and her team for their flexibility. We arrived right before 2pm today to get a sno shack, and she said they didn’t open until 4pm today. I shared that I thought it said 2pm online and we drove in from a distance. She let us place our order because we don’t come in often. I have enjoyed sno shack for years and appreciate the kindness provided...
