Surf Bar — Restaurant in Shawnee

I have been coming here since they were at their location on Kickapoo. The service and food is always great until the last time I went to the Surf Bar on June 29th. I ordered a smoothie and a bagel before I had to head to work. My bagel was in a styrofoam to go box and I was going to eat it when I got to work in Midwest City. I get there, open the box, and there is a fly packaged into my food. It was very much still alive and couldn’t fly away so it was just hanging out on my food. I called the Chisholm Creek location by accident and they were like “oh well call the Shawnee location” okay. Fine. I called the Shawnee location and no answer so I left a voicemail asking for my reward back because I used it on the packaged fly food. I never got a call back. I checked the google reviews and it looks like they respond to those so here I am. Being petty. 1 month later asking for my reward...

I am a big fan of surf bar. That being said, I am tired of coming here for lunch, it not being busy, and still having to wait 20+ minutes in the drive thru for my order. Today I ordered a smoothie because it would be quick. I was handed an order that was a bowl and I told the cashier at the window that I ordered a smoothie. I had waited 10 minutes when they gave me the bowl, and then an additional 20 minutes for the smoothie. When I received the smoothie, it wasn’t even full. It was 3/4 of the way full. It was also melted and had the consistency of milk and was no longer a frozen texture. I am very disappointed in the service lately, and will not be returning until I hear that the service and time management...

Omg I been wanting to try this place for a while.I Stopped through my hometown Shawnee ok n they had one. So I tried it. First of all the location and atmosphere was great. Clean and laid back. The customer service was above n beyond! I love great customer service. Being a first timer the cashier took time to explain the difference between the bases n allowed me to have taste test!!! I chose Pitaya with the nu-stella bowl... OMG SOOOOOOOOO SCRUMPTIOUS!!! PLUS the lady who prepared my bowl made it with love, it was so cute I didn't want to eat it lol.... but it made my stomach happy.. great snack n...
