I have never been judged harder or treated so rudely by staff in my life. This being only the second time I’ve ever placed an order with Panera & never online before, I placed our order online & went through the drive through right away knowing it would be about 10 minutes as my order confirmation said & I fully intended to just wait patiently for the order even if it took a little longer than that. We were told we had to come in for rapid orders & that it would be just a minute so I said ok & went inside for our order to wait. I’ve only been inside Panera once before so when I walked in I just went to the register assuming that’s where I’d have to wait for my order but as the male cashier with the pink lipstick (didn’t catch his name) rudely let me know that he thought I needed to go to the other counter. I ignored the judgy tone/facial expression & just said ok & walked to the other counter to wait. He walked over there to tell me again in a judgy tone that it appears my order just came up on the screen. I let him know I was aware & just let him know the girl I spoke to said to come in & it’d just be a minute. I stepped back to continue waiting & a few minutes later 2 girls were behind the counter & he was on my side of the counter. One of the girls was talking about my rapid order & said she told me to come in & the other girl told the man that I was outside. I told them it was actually my order so I was not outside waiting. The girl said ok & pushed my order forward so I went up to grab it & the guy held up a sticker, looking at me again like I was being judged & rudely asked me if I wanted to do it or if he should. I have literally only ordered at Panera once before so I had no idea they put a sticker over the bag or anything but I said no that’s fine, go ahead & stepped back to let him do what he needed to just for him to judging look at me once more & basically drop the bag into my hands & walk away without a word. I said thank you & walked out honestly fuming because why treat someone like that? I hadn’t even said a word to him before I was being judged & treated poorly & I was kind the entire time. I had no attitude or rude facial expressions. I was honestly just confused what the poor treatment was for & really felt like I was being linked cause what the hell? & even if the food is good, my husband & I & won’t be back. Hope this guy gets fired but it looks like the poor attitude has been a regular complaint for the sheboygan location so not expecting...
Read moreI feel like this Panera is probably one of the worst I’ve been to. My partner and I went on April 29th around 7am. We usually leave for work early so we can get breakfast and relax but we ordered (total came out to $25.06, this will be relevant in just a moment) we sat in the drive through for 30 mins and got only our drinks. We were asked to pull around and when we raised concern with how long it was taking the cashier told us “we are just wrapping things up for your order” (we had two bagel sandwiches….) another 10 mins past and we made the decision to just leave and call about getting a refund we were not rude or hostile as we were more focused on getting to work. The manager stated “well we had like 10 orders on our screen so it was busy…clearly you’ve never worked in retail before if you are upset” mind you I was not upset just calling to ask about getting a refund. After checking in at work and being able to slip away to head back the store the manager decided to double down and refunded us $15.26 (to recall our total was $25.06) I questioned why the amount was not correct and she stated “well you got your drinks didn’t you” and proceeded to walk away from the register. Like, WHAT?! I would think for having people sit outside for 45 mins you’d offer to give the refund in full for wasting our time but since we “got our drink” that was enough for her. Never in my life have I been treated this way and honestly if I did work in retail/food services I would never feel comfortable talking to a paying customer the...
