I have gone to Popeyes three times now and it seems like it gets worse each time. This time around, I ordered 12 pc classic chicken. waited 5 minutes to get to the window, which is understandable pending the cars ahead of me. However, once I reached the window. The attendant at the window did NOT know what I had ordered and almost incorrectly charged me 3X. I had to tell him exactly what I ordered AGAIN. He then proceeded to tell me to pull up to the door as it would be "5 minutes" before my order was ready. I pulled up to the door and waited for 10+ minutes. I saw at least 5+ cars behind me get their food and leave before me. After about 15 minutes, I walked INSIDE. When I was inside, no now acknowledged me even though there were three people by the register, one including the manager (or who I assume was the manager as they were wearing gray while everyone else was wearing orange). After a few minutes, someone finally asked if I had a pick up order. I told her that I have been waiting for my food from the drive through for over 10 minutes. She then asked if I had a receipt. I told her the guy at the window did not give me a receipt and said it was only going to be a 5 minute wait. The manager then came over and talked to me with her pair of tongs and snapped them at me saying she "THINKS" they are working on my order right now. I restated that I have been waiting for over 10 minutes. To which no one cared. a few minutes later, The guy from the window reached over the counter and gave me my chicken. No apology from anyone. it didn't seem like anyone cared they had wasted my time or guaranteed a time for me and failed to follow up or update me that it would be taking longer than expected. If I had known I would have to wait over 15 minutes for my chicken, I would have left and went to KFC. It's so sad to see this place have such poor reviews already since this place is one of the new places in Sheboygan. Good service is had to come by these days but the standards here are just not a priority to them so unfortunately, I won't be returning. Hope they do better...
Read moreWell where do I start??? How about with today's escapade. I went to Popeyes for their chicken, the drive thru was busy. I finally got my turn and had to repeat my order 3 times. It was not complicated at all. A simple family pack. Well I was given a price and told to pull up to the window. Everyone ahead of me had to pull over and wait. It was my turn and I was given a different total than what I was told. So I question it? He repeated my order and I asked why it was a different total. He had no idea. I gave him the money and should have received my change but instead he told me to pull over. He then said it would be 40 minutes to wait. I said 40 minutes he then corrected himself and said 14 minutes. I said I would not wait that long and wanted my money back. Well he refuses to give me my money back. I asked why I was not told they were out of chicken when I placed my order. He had no answer. I demanded my money back. Again he said no and he got a manager. Well again I demanded my money back, she said she needed approval from upper management and asked me to pull over. I said no! I want my money back now! So he called for approval and it took several minutes, but I was given the money I gave to them and didn't receive my change from. I was given my original amount back. The customer service is so incredibly bad there. Between never getting orders correct and poor communication between staff and customers and the inability to have chicken available during the supper rush is unacceptable. The inside wasn't very clean, but the cleaning staff probably hasn't had a chance to clean up the lobby since the place was busy all together. Will definitely go back in the future! Update: went back here about 3 weeks ago, and once again the place was filthy. It's like nobody here wants to take the time to clean the place. The kitchen staff were blasting some dirty rap music over the music playing over the PA speaker in the lobby. Who wants to listen to dirty rap? I don't, especially when there's customers who might have young kids around. Nobody here speaks English. It's all Latino people. Since when did Popeye's become a Mexican joint? I've heard lots of bad things about the management here too. The managers just sit on their phones instead of doing their job. It's like watching a bunch of clowns running a damn circus act. Sorry, Popeye's, but I won't be back until your management cleans...
